I've broken 4 digits but nowhere close to 4,500, a shade over 1,000 with either mana clash or AOS.
212 Spellpower? Maker's Breath that's pure Mage Roid Rage!!!  But I bet a gust of wind would knock Wynne out LOL

935 with heartseeker, it really didn't help much though, since heartseeker only really gives high damage if its used as a last hit.

First off the melee damage seems to be way below what a mage or and archer can get with thier talents. The best i have been able to see was as a dailish archer i slammed a yellow emmissary in fort draklon for 866 with and arrow of slaying shot from stealth, my regular arrows hit anywhere from 30 to 90 per pull.



I have as a mage by stacking tempest on a blizzard killed an entire room of DS in the DR, and while the damage was not delivered at one time, nothing made it out of the room the attack my party, so over all 8 or 9 mobs dead with 2 spells is still impressive work, just not the big single number.

if i remember right on awakening i hit 1329 with arrow of slaying on the lost LOL.

900's with hand of winter with my battle mage

I Respeced just for fun on awakening and out all my points on will power and hit a 1700 with berzerker.



400 as a warrior bezerker on Origins

500 with slayer arrow on Origins

2208 with Manaclash on Gaxkang on nightmare on PC with around 120 spellpower. I had to use Morrigan to cone of ice, Wynne to Vulnerability Hex, then Manaclashed myself to achieve this. Otherwise he keeps resisting till he is low on health, which will net you a lower damage score. I think you get bigger damage scores on PS3, than on Xbox & PCs.

set another personal record today with venerability hex and mana clash. 5330 damage against the golem master in awakening. spellpower is around 260ish

My personal record is 4.5k im not completly sure how i got it so high but im asuming it was with mana clash as i 1 shoted one of those red named Disciples in awakening

Me too, though with Peon's Plight in Awakenings you'll be hitting for 600+.

S/S builds aren't really about single shot DPS though.

Awakenings is meh. In Origins, A respecced Wynne has the highest damage potential because of her unique ANGELMODE spell that gives her extra spellpower.

Mana clash has the highest damage potential of any one ability in the game. Problem is it only comes up when facing mages, which aren't real common. Still, its probably the only ability in the game that can kill a target outright.

How do you guys pull off insane Heartseeker crits? i only ever get around 52... in awakening... at level 28...

  It seems illogical  (and useless)  but the damage you do with Heartseeker is inversely proportional to how much current health your opponent has.  In other words, the closer to death your opponent is, the more damage you will do with heart seeker.

So to answer your question, if you want to do truly massive damage with heartseeker, find an elite (yellow)  enemy.     whittle him down to practically 0 health, then activate heartseeker.
