Always thought she had a kind of eastern european accent reminiscent of gyspsies with the whole fleet moving around thing.

But anywho, that was a serious letter. Grab your flags and gear and as usual, the Germans brought the pretzels and that good ass beer.

Holy crap.. it does sound wonderful in Tali's voice. It's also very creepy that we're able to summon character voices in our heads at will. My next reading of the letter will be in Liara's voice. Then we'll do Grunt.

Ankou for Harbinger would have been great... Seriously

Tellement mieux. With a rich history reaching into any genre, an excellent translator would make these creative choices based on the cultural references in the language he's using. Oh well, maybe next time they can hire me. They'll have more Breton references than they can handle. Ys, Korrigans, even Merlin.

Yea well, most game translations suck nowadays (and Voice actors even more, but that might simply be me disliking overly french accents and expressions in translated games) Let's just say that I have difficulties tolerating french accents in translations haha...

Where are you from?

Quebec,

Point being that French probably would have the same kind of problem while hearing a Translation made in Quebec.

Pretty much like having a full cast of cockney brits doing VA for an American public... You simply get lost in dialect.

Yeah, they should mix it up like they do with Australian accents and whatnot in the English version. In any case, I've been told lots of Bretons in Quebec. Of origin anyway. Though to tell you truly, I don't know if I envision Shepard giving a hearty "Tabernac!" when Steve gets shot down.

It would probably not only be Tabarnak... But most likely something along the lines of what happens at 1:40 in this video...

http://www.tagtele.com/videos/voir/123

Slapshot... What an incredibly dumb, yet funny hockey movie. (it's dubbed in Quebec and made overly vulgar by the VAs, so yea, don't be surprised if most of it is hardcore joual(slang))

Merci à Gendocrono .
She/he summarized 200 pages of French players complaining over the ending.
Very few actually liked the ending , and even those who did noticed the fields of plot holes.

Anyway , i go back to the french BSN .

Reznore57, Gendocrono, the American Fleet will continue to Hold the Line till the last sentient being! We shall not retreat! We shall not go quietly into that good night!

It is good to have you here. I'm sorry for I can't help you since I don't understand your language. But have courage! And know that, no matter the language barriers, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

A fellow Retaker, General Yin, asked me to post this:

www.holdtheline.co/threads/the-french-want-to-work-with-this-group.152/#post-2888

It's a quick draft of the letter translated into english. He's RolandShepard on there.

Wow, what could i say, you people are juste ASTOUNDING !
I am trully positively gobsmacked =) I can't realize that all has been accomplished in just few hours O_o.

From now, this present letter is not the french initiative, it's yours too, it's our combined voices.

I will open a new thread with the two version of the letter (french and english).

I really, really thank each one one you.
I thank those who give their kind and devout support.
I thank those who help with their extraordirary huge work of translation and summarization.

This is our step now, and our work is to show this step to the people who could help, who are working on the future ME3's DLC.

There is hope, because we are many !

Goddamn, THANKS !

Edit : And then we are =)

Nice to know the French feel the same way. That in any language it still translated to uncertainty and disappointment.
