Model Ships Not Showing Up

With my Male Shepard I am unable to collect 3 of the model ships scattered around the Normandy. This is very frustrating as I spend a lot of time in the cabin, collecting items and not having all of my model ships is a tad annoying. Can someone please explain this? My FemShep has been able to collect all of the ships, and I know where they are located, but the option to pick them up doesn't appear.

I am kind of a tad bit confused here. Are you saying you want to pick them up from the case after you got them which automaticlly puts them in the case or pick them up in general? If you want to pick them up from the case I know you are actually unable to which I knew you couldn't do even in 2. However if your trying to pick them up when you see one then i do see that as a problem because I did find one in the bottom floor to be REALLY HARD to pick up since it was practically against the wall which I found ungodlly annoying. I really had to angle it JUST RIGHT to highlight it and pick it up. However I believe I had some go MIA but did show up to buy in the shopping list in the same area. Once purchased, they automaticlly go to your collecting case. Waste of cash but....
