I bought my ME2 new last year and played it through without activating the Cerberus code because I didn't really care for additional content at the time and I wasn't even sure what it did. Now I reinstalled my game and I found out that the Cerberus code will give me some cool extra stuff. However, when I try to activate it, it says the code has already been redeemed. This isn't possible because I bought the game new and I didn't give the code to anyone, and yet it's not on my game.

Is this because I didn't redeem the code immediately? Does the code have an expiration date? Is there something else I am doing wrong?

And am I missing much without it?

If you look at the bottom left of the cut out piece with the code, you'll notice it says "Code expires January 1, 2012"

You're missing out on Zaeed, a bad ass squaddie, a bunch of cool weapons, new missions and assignments and at the start of ME2 before you select load or new game, you'll see a closed computer. With the code that computer unlocks and gives updates on new DLC, announcments and the occasional story (Aside from 2 new stories, all it talks about are the arrival and alternate appearance DLC's). FYI this information was on the back of the page as well.

I recently bought a new copy of ME2 a few weeks ago because my last one was damaged and It had the same expiry date. So the only way I know of that you can get it is to buy the DLC itself. Off Steam if your PC, Marketplace on XBL or PSN for the Play Station.
