M-22 Eviscerator.
It was my favourite shotgun in ME2 and it's gotten even better in the sequel.

The M-99 Saber with a scope and a barrel extension. It combines an assault rifle and an sniper rifle into one devastating package.

AR - Particle Rifle. As far as I'm concerned, everything else is simply inferior. Infinite Ammo, perfect accuracy and blistering rate of fire. It also sounds great and looks awesome. Its everything I wanted the Collector Particle Beam to be. All sci-fi games need a proper Lazor.
Pistol - Paladin. The punch this thing has is downright silly, but its ME3's magnum. Gotta love it. It's probably be unusable if weapon mods weren't available.
SMG - Tempest. This thing surprised me - compared to what it was in ME2, its significantly more accurate - fitted with the right upgrades it has virtually no effect on cooldown and has great stopping power. Not sure whether I prefer the Heat Sink or Barrel upgrade, but its been in my inventory for ages.
Sniper Rifle - Viper. Best balance between rate of fire, weight, and power. The Black Widow sounds awesome but isn't worth the ruin it visits on my cooldowns.
Shotgun - I'd like to say Scimitar, but since even the basic shotguns in this game weight about the same as a bulldozer, I'm not sure I can say I have a fave shotgun. Scimitar is the kind of thing Id go for, and I haven't got the Disciple yet.

@Bane- The Wraith (Spectre shotgun) is actually pretty light if upgraded, and packs one hell of a punch.

Pistol - Carnifex/Paladin
SMG - Hurricane (with Marksman)
Sniper rifle - Valiant...I've used the black widow extensively on the MP and SP not a fan of the recoil
Shotgun - The Wraith love that spectre weapon
Assault Rifle - I LOVE the Argus yes it's quite heavy and only does slightly more damage than the vindicator but upgraded to X I love the sound and its my favorite weapon for short to mid range fighting. I use the valiant when I need long distance.

The Widow. Not the Black Widow, but the Widow. The one from ME2 and ME3... I just love the one-shot, one-hit feel so that's my favorite.

Yes I am serious. This is my favorite gun in whole game; quick RoF/reloads plus it is not only really stable...its is super accurate in all ranges even while slamming the trigger as fast as possible. Not sure exact numbers but I can at least put out 4 more shots compared to a carni's 1.
Second is the widow.

So much this....I LOVE the Black Widow...it's all my Shep carries now....as such a heavy gun, it's all he really can carry if I want to keep my cooldowns at a decent rate.....but combined with his Infiltrator powers one serious gun is all he needs.ezrafetch wrote...
Black Widow. No doubt in my mind. Nothing comes close to that mix of stopping power and excellence.

Mine was the Widow until I realized the Black Widow can hold more ammo....the Widow does do a little more damage, but I find the difference so small as to be negligable myself, so thus preferring the extra ammo personnaly.....But as far as I feel, both guns are at the end of the day pretty much on par....both beautiful weapons.rpgfan321 wrote...

My favorite gun types are pistol and shotgun, so naturally I love the Talon. Packs one hell of a wollop and sounds brutal to boot.
As far as other pistols go, gotta love the Paladin. It's the futuristic space version of a magnum. Who needs to snipe when you've got that headshot machine?
As far as other shotguns go, the Disciple is just so damn sleek. Excellent design, great weight and firing rate, and still does good damage.
I also actually enjoyed the Raptor in MP because I dislike sniping and it's kind of like cheating the system lol.
BUT... Overall, gotta go with the M11 Wraith as my favorite gun. It's like barely heavier than the Disciple and yet hits like a Claymore. It has great range too, and looks like a badass shotgun should. Love it.

I keep hearing about how light this thing is... but as fae as I was aware, its the same weight as the Katana. Which makes it too heavy, as the Katana seems to have the same weight as a Mantis. And, to be honest... since the scimitar is the type of shotty I'd go for, I think I can safely say the Wraith is the opposite thing I'd go for... 2 shots in the clip, ouch....
Since my changeover from Hurricane to Tempest, I've noticed that I've got a spare weight allowance - I'm guessing that by the time I've gottten ultralights V then carrying the Scimitar may be an option...
But as this point, I'm pinning my hopes on the disciple.

The Disciple is very, very light for a shotgun, but still packs a punch and is accurate enough that you don't have to be right on top of your target.
