b]Introduction
[/b]
I had never been interested in the Mass Effect series until 8 months ago. Even during E3 2011, when Dr. Ray showcased Mass Effect 3 at the press conference, I still thought that it was a stupid game series not worthy of my time. A month later though, I downloaded the demo for Mass Effect 2 on Steam and I suddenly became interested in the series. Soon afterwards, I bought Mass Effect for the PC and began my galactic journey as Commander Shepard. The immersion and connection to game was unrivaled compared to any other game that I've ever played. The thing that I love the most about this series is that the whole game series uses only one save game file, which I think is amazing. After completing Mass Effect, I purchased Mass Effect 2 and continued my journey as Commander Shepard. The best parts about the game were the loyalty missions and the endgame suicide mission which EVERY DECISION IN THE GAME MATTERED. Ever since I finished ME2 I couldn't wait for Mass Effect 3 to be released. Other than the ending, I loved every other aspect of Mass Effect 3. The emotions were high throughout the entire game from Ashley being knocked out, Mordin's sacrifice, and the liberation of Rannoch.

The Ending

Like many fans, I was frustrated when I played the ending the first time. The endings didn't give me the closure that I was expecting. I hope that the Indoctrination Theory is correct and that we get a real ending soon. I don't care for the typical Disney or Ewoks dancing ending (even though I would be nice), I just want to know everyone's fate.

Conclusion

Even though I didn't enjoy Mass Effect 3's ending, the game and series overall is amazing. This is surprising considering that I don't enjoy RPGs that much. Bioware, thanks for delivering such an immersive/emotional experience.
