Just curious?
Would you be ok with ME games going 1st person?

ME universe, and themes? Possibly.

Only if it has head bobbing and your arms actually do stuff in animation (no magic stair climbing and so)

as long as the endings don't suck /sarcasm.
on topic: what above post says is true. if it stays loyal to the ME universe, then i am ok with any sort of game. I bet even a RTS or MMO could work if they just made it right.

Well, I generally prefer first person, but I would say a hallmark of ME games is having a squad not being solo. Playing a squad needs third person so maybe something you could zoom in and out of first, but pure first person would seem to imply no squad and then what we have is space Elder Scrolls.

I wouldn't care I actually prefer first person to third person, but I'm fine with either.

I think it would be very interesting to be able to build a character (as we can make a custom Shepard), have fully voiced dialogue in third person, but then have combat in 1st person, (I was thinking of Bioshock 2, for how it could be modeled after, and dunno if a toggle between the two view would be worth it), so not necessarily Elder Scrolls, but I can see many, many people drawing such a comparison if such a game would/could be developed.

I prefer 3rd person. I like to look at my Shepard. 1st person takes all that experience away. I wont mind 1st person when I am playing pure shooters with friends but Action RPG wise, one of the nice things is to be able to look at my armor and my animation.
No 1st person game I have played to date feels "real" or "solid" enough. It feels more like me piloting a robot.

I agree with Ashwind. Being able to see Shepard helps sell the role, in my mind. Though, after playing things like Skyrim and Fallout, it's nice to have a choice of going back and forth between them,
Then again, covered based shooting doesn't really work in the first person now that I think about it.

Nah, first person would kill it. If I want to play first person, I've got MW3 and Halo for that.

If it did it like Dues Ex Human Revolution I wouldn't mind. First and third person.

No. Like ashwind said, I like to be able to look at how sexy my character is.

If it suits the particular game to make it in 1st person, then yes. It wouldn't suit the current ME series at all. Taking cover in 1st person? LOL.

as long as the FPS was open and not linar, and way more game play, anything less than 50 hours play is a waste of resources.

It could be done. It certainly works for TES. They could also try something like Ghost Recon. When walking around its 3rd person and when zooming its 1st or close OTS

If they made a Mass Effect version of that game I might just explode due to sheer awesomeness.

I may be in the minority, but I kinda like the view the way it is. I can do FPS, but for this series, I like the view they got.

I would not mind.
As long as the story is good and combat is fun, that is.

I would prefer no, third person view is so important for me to connect to the character. For example, DXHR is great, but I can never love it like ME because I felt disconnected to Adam.

I guess it could go either way. I think I would probably prefer a FPS over the TPS field of view we got with ME3, but I though ME2 was perfect. But I'd probably get used to it either way. I played Rainbow Six a lot and that was a FPS with a squad, but it switched to TPS whenever you'd take cover. Something like that would be fine.

Provided everything else stayed the same yeah I'd really like 1st person
