Are we talking about an RPG/FPS or an FPS action game based on the ME universe?
Would you be ok with ME games going 1st person?

I like being able to see my person, and also, you get a broader perspective when playing in 3rd person.

Not really, mostly because I like seeing my armor. But I do believe that it can be done and done well.

Cover based shooting is a poor second to a proper FPS with lean, prone, and crouch commands (hello STALKER!), IMO. But that sort of game only sells on the PC so it'll never happen.

As long as:
A) Still able to have branching dialogue choices
Still able to customize your character(s) both appearance and abilities
C) Stay true to the lore and fiction of the series
D) Has a single player campaign that is at least as long as previous Mass Effect games.

well i do remember star wars republic commado. FPS with i feel one of the best squad based fps.
If they made a Mass Effect version of that game I might just explode due to sheer awesomeness.

Uh... no. I can't play FPS because it just makes me dizzy.

Not sure how using powers would work in an FPS. Ok I've used magic in say Elder Scrolls games, but I never much liked the LoS requirement of an FPS for other than shooting (with either a gun or bow).

I prefer 3rd person, ME is still an RPG with action in it.

If the ending doesn't change, I don't care what they do with the Mass Effect franchise.
If the ending does change to something closer to an actual, minimal plot hole, maximum explanation ending with an actual denuement and closure, then I'd still prefer it to remain a third person shooter.

This. As long as this holds true please make it third person.
Although I wouldnt mind it going first person as a sign it is no longer being true to itself and I can stop buying it.

I'd like to see a mix like Deus Ex Human Revolution. First person gameplay but going into 3rd person when taking cover. I think this is a mechanic that more games should implement and it would be great in ME I think. But I'm not sure if First Person would be so great for powerdependent classes like the Adept and Engineer. Could work though...
