I'd prefer to hold off on speculating about the next game until the current one is fixed. I sure as hell am not buying the next one otherwise.

I hear you. though, I personally am not so bent on the ending as I am on the "game as whole".......there's a lot of problems in ME:3...

I would think being the third installment, they would fix the squad's AI...i still have problems controlling them. Sometime's they listen and other times when you need them.........they're way far behind in combat...really annoying.

also, the lack of character development...again only Liara is the only which Bioware seemed to emphasized on...yet I didn't get to see Wrex much at after the whole Tuchnaka mission...and he was my main squadmate in ME:1.....wow thanx for stripping him in ME:2 & 3...really disappointed.

or what about Harbinger??? his absence really made me question on the intergrity of Bioware's own games...

anyway, i find there's not going to be much that Bioware can do with ME:3........except a DLC that may add "closure" even then.........i'll miss Zaeed, Grunt, Wrex, Wreav, Miranda and host of other characters they've neglected

Or the non-functional journal/quest update system, the Tali face debacle and the clear conflict of interest by adding an IGN writer into the game.

I'm one of those types who really enjoyed the game as a whole, despite the flaws, but I've just kind of reached the breaking point with Bioware. They need to reverse course and go back to the company they used to be or it's just too painful to continue watching.

Wrex was also one of my favorites, but it does kind of make sense why he can't join your crew being that he's the leader of his people. But the choices to stick you with Ash and Vega were terrible. Two of the worst characters in the series.

Oh well.

A game about Nihlus and his history on how he became a Specter would be awesome!!!

Hmm. Maybe. Personally I didn't see enough of him to get that invested. Why not Anderson instead?

Shepard died in the beginning of ME2.
That didn't stop her.

Shepard died at the en of ME3.
Why should that stop her?

I like the idea of Shepard getting resurrected a few months or years after ME3. My FemShep chose the Unity option. I'd like to see that option make her almost immortal. Half human, half Reaper, she can live for a millennia.

A bit like Leto Atreides in Children of Dune becoming the God Emperor.
Or a bit like Ripley in Alien 4 being part human clone, part Alien.

Just a thought.

Well i just find Nihlus much more interesting, and Anderson you already go an idea of his history, while Nihlus we really dont have a clue(only that Saren was his mentor) Plus you would be playing a turian instead of another human!

It's like Star Wars really...after Return of the Jedi, I wanted to know what happened to Luke. When they announced more Star Wars movies I thought, great! ...oh, prequels, well, ok, prequels first, then sequels...
Then it was all, Sorry, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are too old to reprise their roles.

Then Lucas did Clone Wars animated.

Animated.

Now why the hell not carry on after Return of the Jedi? Now that image is no longer an issue?

It just smacks of ass. I own the first 6 Star Wars movies, but infinite Clone Wars? GTFO.

Mass Effect prequels?

G. T. F. O.

Hey, the clone wars is an awesome show, don't take out your fan bitterness on one of the best cartoons on television as of now.

good suggestion. I would like to see that. I know we only have the little "background" info from Samara (which too would be nice to see)

The First Contact War is an interesting direction, but I personally would rather have that idea fitted into an RTS.  Call me crazy, but I think a Mass Effect RTS could work.  Space battles and ground battles, with hero characters that you can upgrade over time, that kinda of stuff.  Heck, innovate beyond that.  That Bioware subdivision that is currently making Generals 2 could do it.

no thank you.

RPG is all about story and character development with a driven-plot.  not to mention a fun battle system.

Anyone remember that announcement about the Raloi from Cerberus news? (I think that was what they were called) Whatever happened to them? I was always curious.

But you are also implying that I don't want a Mass Effect 4.  I'm simply suggesting that I would be intrigued by an RTS based on the First Contact War because I think Mass Effect can be expanded into other game genres/functions.  Personally, I would prefer something that happened after Mass Effect 3 to continue the primary series.

The only suggestion I'd make, is for them to actually plan their next franchise as a whole since the beginning, not making stuff up as things go on and on, because that leads to disappointment like ME3. Characters from ME2, for example, were all sidelined and reduced in ME3 because BioWare couldn't properly handle them, they also couldn't handle the magnitude of all the decisions and ramifications and decided to solve things into a very comfortable -for them- yet lame way... Effective Military Strength. That way they got rid of making different cut scenes, outcomes and endings. All your choices were reduced to a number. Crappy.

Not having everything planned since the beginning results in an experience that is good but overall can't live up to it's hype and also one that doesn't delivers what it promised over and over. Not to mention all the plot holes that gave the final blow to the trilogy.

This.

I think prequels are a bad idea, and thankfully not one that Bioware is likely to explore. The problem with prequels is that you already know the ending, thanks to conversations with characters and codex entries in the Shepard Trilogy. There wouldn't be any suspense during a game set in the First Contact War for example, because you know ahead of time that the Council is going to step in right when the Turians seem poised to hammer humanity.

If there are any Mass Effect games after ME3, they should be set in the future.  If prequel settings are explored at all, it should only be in DLC or an expansion. Full games should always advance the timeline.

I thought it'd be really neat to have a thread started where fans may give suggestions of the next Mass Effect Series.

for example(s)

1. The Rise of Cerberus (how cool to see Illusive Man back when he was known as Jack Harper)

Mass Effect Evolution already did that.

First thing you hear when you enter spectar's office is ANN news braodcast about their representative on citadel chickening out to their homeplanet.

No, just no. No new Mass Effect games. Why should play a series if I already know want is going to happen in the end.

I would prefer a story in the future, because if its set in the past then I will already know what the ending is, but judging from these forums people would actually prefer to know the endings of their stories and not be surprised. Which is fine, to each their own.

Where do you listen to the ANN broadcasts by the way? Whenever I enter the Spectre Office I can't really hear them. They are drowned out by the ambient noise. It just seems odd as I have no problem hearing the other news reports on the Citadel, with the male talking head. I'm guessing I keep passing by the section of the wall where you can hear them clearest.

Near the terminals where you authorize/buy stuff most of the time there should be some ANN news braodcast. and Raloi one was the first one i heard when i got to the citadel after Mars.

Start fresh.  Human.  Be more like DA:O, where you spend time playing at the start of your origin.  Ex:  Human noble spends time in castle, city elf in the streets.  Always have a ****y sarcactic character, a funny character and a douche.  Throw in a Liara/Leliana:wub:,Bioware. Please Thankyou.  Stay with the Renegade/Paragon.  Let it be in the far future where the legendary Shepard died. .. I ran out of ideas.
