I was less-than ecstatic about Tali's Romance scene. It was better than what Jack and Miranda get, that's for sure. But a character as popular as Tali? Despite what you may think of her, I'd bet if Bioware conducted an official poll, Tali would be the number one Romance for Male Shepard

I am not so sure Tali would come out on top, considering the numbers of Male Shep to FemShep according to Bioware are weighed heavily in Male Shep's favor. So I doubt femSheps skew it that much in Liara's favor. IMO I found Liara boring in ME1, but Lair of the Shadow Broker did a lot to make her a much more interesting character. The Liara in ME3 is a very good character, but I also think that is because Bioware is showing their preference for her over the other characters. It really does feel like they are guiding your character into a relationship with her so Tali can end up with Garrus.

I personally prefer FemShep (Jennifer Hale is awesome), but Tali being romancable in ME2 made me dust of my Male Shep save to make him my main character for some quarian lovin'.

I think you can agree with me when I say Liara has been getting WAY too much attention.

you are taking this the wrong way no LI was getting enough attention not even liara but it was more obvious in the others

If you romanced Tali for a hot sex scene, you picked the wrong LI...

Tali is an emotional rollercoaster, and you love her because of greater and deeper attributes than the material ones. You have choices like Liara or Miranda for that.

Tali is also about the only LI that really cares for Shepard and doesn't act like they had a one-night stand that is all but forgotten in previous games. She seeks you out from the beginning and is invested in making it last. I wouldn't mind seeing Tali out of her suit, if only because it's an extremelly rare sight, but I felt fulfilled with her both in ME2 and ME3.

I don't choose video game LIs because I'm looking for a hawt nude scene. Apparently I'm somewhat alone in that.

Anyway, The Witcher 2 is coming out soon for Xbox, so if I feel the need for pixellated boobs, I'll be able to just go and play that.

There's nothing shallow or material about Liara's romance in ME-ME3 just because she got the best sex scene. Whether it's male Shepard or female Shepard, it's obvious that Liara love him/her very much, and the feeling is mutual. It's a pretty damn deep romance.

I would agree with that. The LI's were pretty neglected, even Liara. With Liara you get all the momnts with her, minus the love scene, that a person who is romancing her does. Liara was given a lot more screen time than the other characters, and she had some really good moments. The time capsule, the goodbye seen, all were very touching.

Except that she gives you the cold shoulder in ME2 even after she promised you eternal love in ME1.

Well yes. there was lots of good interaction throughout the game.  When she says she loves you, drunkenly says she is having a drink with her boyfriend... her human boyfriend...  etc. All good stuff  admit.  Still  I would have liked the hot 'naked' scene with her out of her suit though.  Maybe I just want too much.

It's because she's scared of what you think of her giving your body over to Cerberus... getting her to break down and come clean about this in ME2 was one of the emotional highlights for me. Though it was a little depressing until LotSB came out.

Oh but she does get naked! And "it's totally worth it!". Just not for us to see I guess.

Think of all the diseases she gets everytime she does it, I feel bad for the poor thing.

She never promised eternal love in ME1.
She is forgiven since she saved Shep from becoming a husk or collector goo while Tali was off comitting war crimes.
She flat out tells Shepard she loves him/her. Not sure if Tali does.

Liara got the best easily. But even after watching hers I still thought, "hmmm, I feel they could still do more. Kind of feels like they're holding back" Then I saw the others and I was more upset.

I would've loved to have a scene like that with miranda, ashley, or anyone else. I was expecting to. I felt they missed an opportunity when it came to romances in ME3. And not just the scenes but the romance as a whole.

They felt more like a side note to the game when they shouldve played a larger part in it. So yea... I was dissapointed in that. But I still thought the game would end strong... so much for that.

To me this is explained well enough in the Shadow Broker DLC.

<_< You forgot Ashley and Kaiden. They both got the 2nd best romance scene, right under Liara's.

Yes Tali says she loves him.  After you help get Rannoch back for the Quarians.

Its not porn, its art damnit!

It can't be art.  Art has NAKED people in it.

‘D’you know much about art, Nobby?’
‘If necessary, sarge.’
‘Oh come on, Nobby!’
‘What? Tawneee says what she does is Art, sarge. And she wears more clothes than a lot of the women on the walls in here, so why be sniffy about it?’
‘Yeah, but…’ Fred Colon hesitated here. He knew in his heart that spinning upside down around a pole wearing a costume you could floss with was definitely not Art, and being painted lying on a bed wearing nothing but a smile and a small bunch of grapes was good solid Art, but putting your finger on why this was the case was a bit tricky.
‘No urns,’ he said at last.
‘What urns?’ said Nobby.
‘Nude women are only Art if there’s an urn in it,’ said Fred Colon. This sounded a bit weak even to him, so he added, ‘or a plinth. Both is best, o’course. It’s a secret sign, see, that they put in to say it’s Art and okay to look at.’
‘What about a potted plant?’
‘That’s okay if it’s in an urn.’

I have to accept that I have a very soft heart for Tali. Even when the romance scenes were not as developed as Liara or Ash... Well, her wishing more time was quite mooving.

No I hope not actually.  Just because I liked Tali I totally get why some people might like Liara or someone else.  (Except for Jacob.  I am sure no one EVER romanced him at all).

I was just looking over all the romances I 'didn't get' and some were like WOW! and others were like 'oh'.  Tali was like "OK" so I'm doing better than Jackieboys, and Mirandaslaves for sure.

Mostly I just needed another topic other  than the ending.

Tali gets leeway in this department because she's from a species that isn't really biologically compatable with humans and considers the whole thing a ludicrous fantasy that she's embarassed about in the beginning.

EDITed to add: I prefer Liara, but I'm not heavily invested in these things anyway.
