Hello all! Here's what's on my plate for today. I'm currently having internet issues, and so my internet isn't very reliable, with the signal being in-and-out, touch-and-go. I'd like to play Mass Effect 3. I own Mass Effect 3. I also own the DLC. I understand that I cannot play multiplayer with a spotty internet connection, this makes sense. So I'd like to play my campaign character. And here's the herp-a-derp. I'll admit, I'm not amazingly tech savvy. Is there a way to just PLAY the game, with my DLC installed, and not need the EA servers to be logged in to authenticate my stuff etc. and so forth, blah-blah-blah, every time I open the game? I mean, I understand that it needs to confirm I own the stuff. I paid for it, it's registered, it's installed. Isn't that the end of story? I'm currently sitting on my hands, wishing I could play, because I can't load my save file, as it makes use of DLC content, that needs to be authenticated. Is there any way to actually play this game's "singleplayer" while actually offline? Because, it seems to me, that if I don't have an internet connection, I'm borked. I'm SOL. Even if I'm not playing multiplayer.

Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the biggest BioWare fans you'll ever meet. This is in no way a rage against them, or against customer service, or anything else. I'm just a bit irritated that I can't play my character, just because I don't have consistent internet. And somehow, my connection is "good enough" to sign in to the EA servers for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, but it can't quite make it for Mass Effect 3. I'm not trying to play multiplayer. I just want to enjoy my wonderful singleplayer experience, and hear Garrus crack wise at everyone and everything.

Sorry for the rant, and thanks for taking the time to read my post (if you did)! Cheers, and much appreciation.

Try and go into options and in the list there should be the option called online, go into there and there should option that makes it so it does not automatically log you in. This was the case in ME2 so try it and see if it works.

There is a way to do it, as my brother and I have done so.

First log in and get your DLC verified in game (hopefully). Then disconnect your computer from the internet while me3 is running. You should be able to play offline.

For future times you can then "log in" to origin offline by being disconnected to the internet and start up me3. It then won't try to verify your DLC.

If I do not have an internet connection. I simply sign in to Origin as usual and it will show that I have signed in as Offline. There you can launch your ME3 and it will allow you to play any pre-verified DLCs.

In my experience, if you have no internet connection to start with - there is never a problem. If you have bad connection; ie. Can signin to Origin but cannot connect to EA server etc. Then there will be complications.

The problem is that i have a good connection and could only connect just one time in the EA servers, I've tried to play with Origin in offline mode, and could dot it only one time. Now I can'r connect with EA servers for 3 days. I'ts really annoying that my brother who has the PS3 version can connect without problems ¬¬. EA make respond about THIS!

I just wanted clarify that this issue is solved now. I have noted that disconnecting your computer from the internet (e.g. removing a wireless adapter or ethernet cord) allows you to simply bypass the sign-in process, rather than it continually attempting to connect and not allowing you to load a save-game with content that needs authorization. Sorry for the run-on sentence, hope that helps anyone else who may have had this issue. Cheers!

Hmm. None of this seems to help me since I´m promted to log on to origin whether I open Mass Effect 3 or Origin itself. So whenever the verification server is down I can´t play either MP or SP. It just says that my password or login is wrong - but if I wait for the server to come back up they work fine.
Any thoughts?
