A million "exclusive" DLC at every opportunity they get with pre-orders.
Like with DA2, I was almost beginning to think they would give away the entire game as pre-order DLC.

I pre-ordered ME2, ME3, and DA2. I'm reasonably sure I won't be doing so for DA3.
I feel bad for you.
I only Preordered ME2 and DA2. I got burned on DA2, so after that piece of garbage game, no more preorders.
I did like ME2 for the metal case... it was.. shiney..

DA 2 hurt DA 3 preorders...... And if they want it to be successful, they better pretend DA 2 never happened, or at the very least a side note. DA 3 should simply be an upgraded gameplay system DA Origins had, and the story should continue on from DA Awakening's ending......
That's wishful thinking. Trust me, this isn't coming from a DA2 fan who LOVED the game. I'm just a jaded Origins fan who thinks like you, but by all accounts, DA3 will be more of DA2 with a couple of more RPGesque features. Maybe they'll add full party member customization again, but the wheel, voiced protagonist and all of that will be back. Trust me. I have forseen it.
Like I mentioned before, DA2 hurt the DA franchise WAY more than Bioware are and will ever be able to admit. Forget about pre-orders, I'll approach whether I should play games in this series at all with extreme caution from now on.

I for myself will never understand why people preorder in the first place, but that's a different topic.

That combined with ME3.. despite being made by different teams, i don't have much faith in Bioware/EA right now.
Yeah this will be the first bioware game i won't be pre-ordering or buying on release day since ever.
Though i expect i'll grab a cheaper copy in a steam sale at some point down the line.. oh wait.. origin.. well.. when it hits the bargain bin then.

Don't believe me? Go check out that big shiny "Multiplayer in relation to endings" thread that Bioware has stickied and locked at the top of the discussion board. You DO need multiplayer to get the "optimal" ending.

If DA3 looks like a game I might like, I'll pre-order. Don't regret ordering DAII OR ME3.
But I can't say whether or not I'll pre-order DAIII ...since I know nothing about it yet.

MA3 received record sales because players held hope that the mistakes with DA2 were a fluke. Now, with the ME3 insanity, it just might put a good dent into DA3 preorder sales. Also, let's not forget...not everyone is happy with SWTOR; cumulative effect.
Me personally, I'll never preorder any game again, been bit too many times to go that rout. I'll wait about a month before buying their games; I'll let other gamers play the role of guinea pig beta tester for a change.
I also think it's important to consider how even amongst us ending haters, most did not think it would be quite this bad. If someone had told me not to bother with ME3, because the ending was horrendous, I probably would have laughed it off and bought it anyway.
We'll never make the mistake trice though. I didn't belief it either.
For the next Bioware product however, we have a measure. From now on, when someone warns me that their newest product is bad, I'll ask them to compare it to ME3 and absolutely crinch when it's anywhere near it.
This is one wound healing into a scar. I can keep pointing at it.

Let me get this straight, you think ME3 as a whole is BAD and CRINGE-worthy?
Wow....

I'll say again, why would anyone in their right mind pay to have their intelligence insulted? That's exactly what Mass Effect 3's entire advertisement campaign was. Insulting. Disgusting. BioWare exploited the trust of their loyal fans to make a quick profit. People don't pay to be insulted. You're worth far more than what BioWare believes you to be.

Why let there be a next BioWare product? They [i]can't be trusted. They hate the very medium they create games for, and until they prove otherwise (which will and should take a lot), that is what many players and fans (and former fans) will believe.
They HATE the medium they create games for?
Really? I mean....feel free to believe whatever you like...but that's utter nonsense. And who has "fans" like that needs no bloody enemies.
For the love of God, the hyperbole is getting ludicrous!

Not overblown in the slightest. Dragon Age 2 was a terrible sequel. Dumbed-down everything for a wider audience.
