The people who insist that BioWare's handling of ME3 means nothing to the bottom line really make me chuckle. The whole argument rests on the assumption that all gamers are basically blow-hards with short attention spans who will quickly forget about any disgust and anger.
I think this idea severely underestimates not only the intelligence of gamers in general, but also the overwhelming amount of negativity around the ME3 fiasco. Not only was the end-game a mess, but BioWare have (imo) handled the whole thing very poorly.
I can only speak for myself obviously, but I can tell you that I won't forget how I felt when I first finished ME3. At the time, I hadn't read any of the "ending" threads for fear of spoilers, and like a lot of people on BSN, I assumed it was being blown waaay out of proportion. But then I saw it for myself...and for the first time since I started playing video games in the '80's, a game made me feel physically ill. That's not something you forget all of a sudden just because something new and shiny comes along.
So yeah. I'll never be pre-ordering another BioWare game again. And more importantly, if they don't do a proper job fixing ME3, I'll never *buy* another EA game period. And I can promise you something without a shadow of a doubt in my mind - there are *thousands* of BioWare fans out there who feel the same as I do.
