What we've learned from ME3 is that "Things can change in development". And BioWare don't think it's important to tell us that before we buy.
DA2 never promised a satisfying, multiple-branching ending. So whilst I was disappointed, I knew no-one had lied.
But with ME3, we learned that we can't trust BioWare to give us what they promised.
So the backlash from me3 will be bigger, I believe, than the da2 one.

I'm not buying any Bioware games anymore, naturally.

But the backlash to DA2 was record breaking pre orders for ME3. Also, people were claiming Bioware lied about what DA2 would be as well. "They lied" is a pretty common complaint for everyone who's dissatisfied in a game and it's never actually true.Lincoln MuaDib wrote...
The problem is that ME3 looked awesome in the previews- so did DA2.

Like in ME3 we were promised our actions would effect the ending of the game and they did. 3 different endings based on our choices and actions. If that wasn't "enough" variety for you then you are free to feel disappointed, but you weren't lied to.
Realistically there won't be any backlash. If anything EA and ME3 have brought in more fans than Bioware currently knows what to do with. If DA3 looks like a badass game it will do remarkably well with pre orders.

Pretty much this, all the ME3 ending did was add fuel to the fire against bioware.Slidell505 wrote...
Of course not, DA2 took care of that.

i shall not be purchasing DA3 on launch, after the disappointment that was DA2 and the terrible ending to ME3, I do not trust Bioware to deliver on its promise.
From now on I will look out for reviews and listen to forum feedback before i'll consider purchasing future bioware products.
Same here, I swallowed the bitter pill - DA2, but ME 3 ending and the fact that EA sent fewer copies of collector's edition to my country (they made the decision in late February, when I pre-ordered in December) and of course in the beginning of March I got the info that I'm not getting it. Well, that is a bit too much to take, and trust blindly again

So it is natural that they will try to "vindicate" by not buying any Bioware's products, more even preorder.
I hope that Bioware understand that is not proffitable for a company to "rebuild" their customer base, and will take the neccessary actions needed to restore the corporate trust.
Time will tell.

I've never been much of a Dragon Age guy, the ME universe setting is a lot more interesting to me (not big on medieval, mages and stuff), but i got them both out of "it's a Bioware game, it's gonna be awesome".
Worked the first time... not so much the second...

As for DA3, I always read spoilers, so I'm sure I'll know everything about the game before it comes out anyway.
You're not the only one. I really enjoyed DA2, and hate ME3's ending enough that I'll be stopping the game every time before my Shepards reach it.Artemis_Entrari wrote...
I think I'm the only person on this forum that absolutely hated the ending to ME3 while actually enjoying and having no big (minor, but nothing big like my issue with ME3's ending) issues with DA2.
