DA2 destroyed pre-orders for DA3, ME3 had just destroyed faith in any Bioware franchise at this point. Bottom line is if companies don't continue to deliver the same or better quality of product as they received in the past from the same company. The customers will take their business elsewhere. Also at this point Pro review sites and magazines can't be trusted to give a bias review since they are enslaved to the powerful game developers just like politicians are indebted to special interest groups.

yup... still support Bioware but Cdprojetck made so much progress in the witcher 2, that i am looking forward for more

Yeah I loved The Witcher 2. After I finished that one, I thought that this is what DA2 should have been in some ways at least with a mix of DAO style.

The pre-order numbers will be interesting for sure. As will sales over a 12 week period to see if people pick it up later if its good.

The next BioWare game will be the first BioWare game I haven't pre-ordered since.....hell. I can't remember when.

Personally from where I am standing I see a lot of people angry Bioware fans and gamers. However I also see a lot of Hardcore Bioware fans so I wouldn't be putting money on the pre-orders being minimal just yet.

Yeah - they'll be the old fans who liked DA2, the new fans who liked DA2 and the people who love DA3's marketing.

I imagine pre-order numbers will still be high.

Oh, and the continued casualization of their games. But they do want Call of Duty's audience. Too bad that CoD's audience doesn't care about BioWare games since CoD does what CoD does best. Bonus: they get to alienate their loyal fans. Lose-lose situation.

ME1+2 are great, DA1 is great.....now DA2 and ME3. I would expect bioware to improve quality in sequels. This is endangering future RPGs from bioware. Really. I will not preorder another one. I will wait for some cheap edition with all the dlc packs after I will read all the reviews saying that the game is great! :)

Yep pretty much. Bioware has a serious amount to make up for as a lot of their ideas have been pretty good ideas, but their executions have been absolutely horrible, maybe a slight overstatement.

DA3 has to be pretty good for me to think about purchasing it, but I am not holding my breath. After hearing remarks like "We're taking a lot of ideas from Skyrim" and seeing things like "We're going to have multi-player" isn't sitting well with me. If Bioware decides to do an open world RPG I'll be concerned because Bioware is best at a directed storyline rather than an open world storyline. Also mentioning multiplayer, sure ME3 did Multiplayer pretty well, but it's not something I could see myself playing long term unless it has a pretty aggressive and CHEAP DLC plan, there are only so many waves I can last before I get bored and quit.

No more pre-orders, and no more full-price orders. I'll wait for the next BW game to hit the bargain bin. (Which, to be fair, is where I picked up DA2 and as such wasn't all that sad over it)

DA2 combined with ME3 not only ruined any chance of me getting excited over DA3 but also has left me unable to fully trust Bioware as much as I did before. They have a lot to do to earn my trust again.

Dragon age 2 ruined the entire dragon age franchise, and Mass effect3 ruined the entire Mass effect franchise

Maybe this is Bioware's exist strategy. Release dumb-downed and mediocre piles of manure so that EA can close them down, and their management staff can retire to some beach in the Caribbean. Sucks for the game designers though, those poor lads are part of the 99%.

DA2 already assured that, the ME3 endings were just a nail in the coffin.

You do not alienate your fanbase.

The image says it all.  Take a look at the name of the steam group those people are members of.  Then take a look at the game they're playing.

Maybe. But for me, Dragon Age 2 made sure I won't preorder Dragon Age 3 ... if at all, SWTOR and ME3 helped me remain true to that decision.

Ive waited for DA2 to be around 20$ and will certainly wait for lots of reviews and feedback before buying it.
I wanted DA2 to be a sequel of my Warden.
As much as I enjoyed DA:O ( played it through 4 times) I barely finished DA2 only once

It doesn't matter to me because I never intended to preorder DA3. I don't intend to buy it period. DA2 killed any of the potential I saw in the series.

What ME3 has destroyed is my desire to buy more content (new games, DLC) in the ME series.

I think it's probably too early to speculate on that. ME3 has been out less then a month and there isn't much of any info on DA3... So, it will depend on how thing develop in the coming months.
