This actually makes sense, but there's one thing; are there two Catalysts? I mean, there's a second Citadel like relay in dark space, I'm sure that would be the first place the Reapers would put such a dangerous monster. But then they needed to leave the second one in the Citadel for some reason... So if the Catalyst breaks free, is it possible that he'll free his fellow? That would mean that he'd need to keep at least some organics around to ensure that a second Cruicible is built.

I don't think the relay in dark space is the same as the Citadel, i think it is just connected to the Citadel.

I read through that thread I linked and i think the 4chan leak is fake

 As much as theories like this one do a fair job of finding a way to make sense of the events of the game, they simply aren't established well in the narrative.

That's a good choice. I would pick as well, but I have trouble getting past MS. He is quicker than me with his trigger finger.... So he kinda picks that choice for me.

The ships from the fleet might be jumping to differ places, or maybe EDI too control of the helm because talking it out would be too slow, so the Normandy got a head start.

Catalyst is a Massive Destruction Weapon, Shepard actually died with Anderson and was just making peace with his mind, Indoctrination....I hate all of this.

Why did they think this was a good idea??

I'm not sure why they thought this was a good idea. It is a pain. I can't wait for the clarification DLC...

The Rachni wars kind of throw a cog into this theory, but you can explain it away by saying the Rachni were about to construct their own crucible, and that the Reapers saw fit to exterminate them.

Also, the Reapers not wanting to destroy the Citadel can be explained by it not being necessary to trigger the crucible. Maybe it just needs a sufficiently large energy source, which could be constructed given time.
