Hey,
I have recently reinstalled Mass Effect 2 to replay it and get ready to play Mass Effect 3, and to this end I acquired the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC.
I get through the DLC just fine, but when I get to the car chase scene I start significantly lower than Vasir. I can do the first part of the chase but when I am supposed to go into the construction site it is way higher than me, so I end up flying into the building. The collision tracker doesnt seem to work though, so I fly through the building and then it says that I lost her.
I have been having physics engine problems since the day I installed the game, and this seems like a similar problem I had with the Hammerhead DLC where I would just fall straight through the ground and die.
When I reinstalled the game to replay it I had to downgrade the PhysX drivers to 9.10.0514 to make it run (I was getting Physics engine failed errors when I tried to run it before, but downgrading them fixed it). I noticed that if enemies were made to ragdoll (by Concussive Shot or any of the main Biotic powers) they would fall through the floor, and that I would do the same if I died. This wasnt a problem but it seems like the same thing is happening here.
I updated PhysX to 9.12.0213 after I encountered this issue but it didnt help. I searched for help on this but the only problem with the chase scene that people seemed to have wasnt mine.
I am running Mass Effect 2 v1.0.2 as a Steam download.
