Brilliant read! I share your sentiments on how the game is still enjoyable, even with the plotholes and the ending, and I did not regret buying the game.
Bump for awesomeness.

To be more accurate, the Protheans didn't mess up Sovereign's signal, they manipulated the Keepers so they wouldn't respond to it.
Doesn't Harbinger's control ability also render Sovereign redundant? The poor guy must have been left behind by the other Reapers because no one could think of something he/ it could do.
To be fair about the ME2 crew, the Illusive Man had them all picked out in advance for Shepard to go and meet, rather than our plucky hero just happening upon them. Speaking of which, Tali's presence on the Citadel just before Shepard's induction into Spectrehood is INCREDULOUSLY lucky.
"We need evidence that Saren's evil!"
"Uh... I don't have any, but this chick does."
"Oh. Well, okay then."
Also, wasn't the Reaper damaged and inert, not dead?
In the ME3 finale, Anderson apparently arrives on the Citadel farther along the path that Shepard travels. No reason is given as to why that happens, since he should arrive at the same place as Shepard (DeadBodyVille, getting ready to be processed).
And of course, I agree that it's incredulously lucky that Shepard managed to fall on the one floor panel that can rise into a shaft of light that takes him right to the Catalyst.
And yes, an animated cartoon version of this summary would be great.

A few posts here have also noted some inconsistencies with my story but also some other situations I could add to my exposition, so to speak. Maybe I should update and add in another paragraph or two, but I don't want to ruin the post.
And THAT's what was meant by "animated" - a cartoon. Now that makes sense, wonder why I didn't get it before...

The reaper fleet shows up, and are IMMEDIATELY blasted to pieces. Galaxy goes home victorious without breaking a sweat.

Imagine if the crucible was one of the first things they found in the prothean data.

Nice job!
I'd love to do that but it's difficult for me to get clips of the game unless I get it from youtube which takes a long time and they may not have the clips I want lol

I'm now stuck with the vision of a Mass Effect version of the Office staring the Reapers, with the Crucible as the most incompetent manager ever.

@Flidget: LOL yeah...true, the Crucible would be a lazy manager, not bothering to do things himself yet taking all the credit (from a purely office-to-ME-comparison viewpoint; obviously the Catalyst does seem to do stuff)

Thanks for the input lol. Just wanted to say - you should look at this (not my video) for a renegade interrupt edit on the Indiana Jones scene you exactly described.
And yeah, ME does have some inconsistencies here and there, and the ending was not the first...
Fun read. Thanks for the work.
And that video.... IIRC Harrison Ford had the flu the day they shot that scene and just didn't feel up to doing what was originally in the script? So he just did that. It worked perfectly. Dang he looked young in that. Wait. He was.

I didn't know that. LOL amazing that such a on-the-moment-random-chance decision made for one of the most iconic/best moments of Western adventure films, imo.

This is great! I love these games, and they are absolutely amazing stories, hands down. But just like in any adventurous fiction, there are just a lot of plot elements that happen to line up just right for our protagonist.
And a good thing, too, or we'd have no story. Thanks for the read!
Glad you enjoyed. Yup, some leaps have to be made just for the sake of a story lol.
