Would be nice if, instead of only having the PC as party member at camp, it had ALL members active in camp, and when you leave you have to choose which to exclude.
This would inadvertently fix the item set bug, and give you a chance to level up at camp. It is meant to be a base, after all, so the inability to level up is a rather glaring omission (particularly as you can access everyone's inventory, even though outside of camp you can only access the inventory of active members).
Not selectable at camp

Eh, you can level up everyone at camp. Just cycle through them on the character page (press C)

You can level up in camp. Press C and flip through your party members and click "Level Up".

The only thing it would fix would be access to their crafting abilities in camp (which you don't get). I swear I spend more time going back and forth between Denerim and the camp grabbing crafting companions and buying reagents, and crafting than I do playing some hours...

Only problem I had was nothing be able to use herbalism/etc in camp unless my PC had it. Not a huge problem.

I just made potions at the Warden's Keep. I had to go there most of the time anyways to use the storage.

I go back & forth from camp to Warden's Keep alot, but a couple of times.. I hit a random encounter of several baddies & only had either my dog or one other party member! Whee was that fun when you are fighting for your life.. LOL!
