Still one of the worst games Ive ever played

I enjoyed the new combat, and ME-style conversation wheel. I also didn't mind the overall thrust of the storyline — the coming war between the mages and the templars. The family element was also enjoyable, although cut off too early in two cases and, later, in a singular really macabre way.
What I detested were the recycled environments, the "cartoonish" look of the redesigned darkspawn (the elves looked odd, too, but not as weird as the darkspawn) and the Plain Jane loot system. (Torn trousers? Moth-eaten scarves? Really?)
I remain ambiguous regarding the friendship/rivalry system, primarily because I absolutely hate the fact that certain characters *will* leave permanently if you don't play a certain way. (I'm looking at you, Isabella. Others will turn on you if you don't play a certain way; isn't that right, Fenris and Merrill?)
So, DA2 sure isn't the shining city on the hill, so to speak, but it also isn't a total wash. Overall, in the DA universe, I'd put it behind DAO and DAA. That means it gets a bronze medal.
Time will tell if DA3 surpasses DAO or takes its place behind DA2.

Not saying all games from back then were bad. I grew up on classics like Sonic and Doom. But there were some true abominations as well. I read an interesting regular column on PC Gamer called crapshoot.
http://www.pcgamer.c...earch/crapshoot
Go read about some of those, and then try to justify them being better than DA2.
Heck, DA2 wasn't even anywhere near being the worst game of 2011.

...Well either way, you're not very good at writing it, are you?

In fact bring back Brent Knowles dammit. I dont want a hooker romance option, I dont want the virgin next door romance option, i dont want the gay whiny mage romance option.
I'm over it I've waited too long for a Dragon age origins sequel with real imports, real sequel, real people from my first amazing game play that switched me from FPS to hardcore rpg fan (Ive played so many rpgs now that haven't been able to compare to DAO)
Dragon age origins era is officially over the only way I can role play is smoke weed and play with legos.
Sorry for this ghastly submit but I'm thoroughly annoyed with every BIG dev at the moment. Money sucking back stabbing bastards.
Hopefully one day a dev with some ballz will continue the DAO story for real.
sorry for the rant, peace out homies

Worst game ever made? I think not!
Need I remind you of game called "E.T." Now that is the worst game ever made.

ME3 bad ending pales in comparison to the rushed crap that was DA2.

I wouldn't say it was one of the worst games I've ever played, but it has some serious issues that I hope are addressed in future installments. The flaws have been discussed at length in other threads so I'm not going to continue beating a dead horse.
I did like the family aspect, friend/rivalry system, and how the characters had lives outside of Hawke. Here's to hoping DA3 takes the best from both!
I find myself in agreement.
I personally found DA: 2 to be a good, even excellent game in many respects. It was also a deeply, tragically flawed game in many areas - both in terms of mechanics and plot, all of which have already been written about at length on these very forums.
To call DA: 2 'the worst game I ever played' smacks of sensationalism. That would be like comparing it to Atari-ET, Big Rigs Over The Road Racing, or World of Warcraft Cataclysm. Not really a fair comparison.

I wouldn't know, most people who played DA2 felt the same way I did.
Source please. While the vocal reaction from one particular group might certainly be an indication of something larger, basing a general assertion regarding the game's impact on the minority of customers who are committed to websites such as BSN or Metacritic isn't exactly the most solid footing you could hope for.

EDIT: If I would have to come with anything relevant to say, then I'd say there are a lot of games out there. Dragon Age 2 was a fun and enjoyable game to me. Stating that it isn't as a universal fact is biased and petty. That's it.

On the contrary; anyone who knows what a good game is, knows that DA2 is awesome.
I know. It's one of my favorite games. I loved the characters, atmosphere, and gameplay.

With all this to do, about the Mass Effect 3 endings I felt like I should take a minute to remind myself how I made the worst $60 purchase of my life with Dragon Age 2.
You dont buy a lot of games, do you
He must not! I was thinking the same thing. Corpse Killer... Shaq Fu... Vampire Rain... Siren... or Bomberman: Act 0. I can think of more games that are far worse than DA2... Unless he's new to gaming.

I don't think DA2 was the worst game ever, but it was a huge slap in the face to Origins fans.

As did I, though not as much as DA:O. I've played far, far worse games that I never finished and certainly didn't play half a dozen times.Aslanasadi wrote...
Actually I enjoyed DA 2 very much
