That's exactly why Shepard will be a female in the movie, right?
It's a choose your own adventure game. Just because they probably won't cast a black actor as Shep doesn't mean that Shepard is definitely white. There is no canon because we are supposed to choose it ourselves.
Though they are probably going to make it a male in the movie that doesn't mean Shepard is definitely a male. Honestly sometimes I forget that it can be a guy at all when I play.

Yeah, she does. Or more importantly, straight girl gamers role playing straight femshep get screwed. The game is without a doubt geared more towards young males. That's the whole idea behind the Asari concept, I believe. Blue Space Chicks that are kinda lesbian... but not technically. Everybody can benefit, but they're in the game for the young male gamers.

No Liara? She's there to romance no matter what,
Well… strictly speaking, she has boobs. Me, I love boobs, and if I’d liked her better, might’ve had my Shep romance her.
But if Liara had a schlong instead of boobs, would most straight guys have wanted to romance her even if it was said that she’s not really ‘male’ in spite of said schlong?
Well, I think we can all agree that we all love boobs.
Also, that's extremely doubtful that any StraightMaleShepards would approach her if she did, indeed, have man parts. I was just saying, she's still a viable option for a Femshep and not mentioned. She's definitely a good romance option in ME3 (I couldn't stand her in ME1), if all Femsheps are good with boobs.
Well, I think the OP was calling out for straight options in particular, in which case Liara is a somewhat iffy option.
Not complaining about Liara myself; my Shep is as open-minded as I am in that regard… but she isn’t exactly a viable romance option for a straight Femshep.
Oh! Reading the name of the thread helps. In this case, anyway.
Hehehe, it's all good! <3

::Edit:: However, I do think Bioware just took the most popular romances and ran with them. I have no evidence for this, It's just the impression I am under.

Yeah, Bioware totally didn't add Femshep to he cover of the game, create a default femshep from scratch and give her her own trailer at the request of female and male gamer. Yup, totally pandering only to us guys.
Easy tiger
I will point out that it took three games for them to get this far.

There were only two straight romance options each in DA2. I agree though Blacqout the number of romances aren't as important as other things in the game.
No, female Hawkes also had Sebastian.

Honestly, considering how good Jen Hale's voice acting is, they should have advertised her a lot more for all three. Not that Meer didn't totally ace the role in ME3.

I love FemShep, and I pretty much only play FemShep, and FemShep has always been the real Shepard in my mind, but the majority of people who play these sorts of games are dudes, and the writers are probably mostly dudes, and most dudes probably play as dudes when they play Mass Effect, and so on.
Anyway, the only LI that really matters is Garrus IMO
Now there's some truth.

Or maybe they spent a lot of time on the Garrus and Kaidan romances so that they would be better then the multiple romances guys get but it balances out in the end. Lets go with that.

Shepard's response to Ash calling him out on Miranda wasn't awesome at all. She's lying in bed with her head still ringing, and Shepard's trying to shift the blame onto her? Nah, Ashley's got it right, she can be angry about whatever she wants. Neither of them put a full stop on the romance, Shepard owed it to her to call it off before he moved on.
She's the one who walked away from Shepard, not the other way around. She pissed me off, man.

They really should have made it a big budget action flick about the First Contact War...starring Eddie James Olmos as General Williams.

What? Samara? You can't even -flirt- with Samara.
In ME3 Hetero ManShep can romance Liara, Tali, Miranda (brief, if you did in ME2), and Jack (brief, no nookie, if you did in ME2).
Homosexual ManShep can Romance Kaiden and Cortez.
Hetero Femshep can Romance Vega, Kaiden, and Garrus (if you did in ME2).
Homosexual Femshep can romance Liara and Traynor.
ManShep and FemShep can both sex the Chobot-o-tron 4000 Reporting Robot
You could in 2 and she would admit feelings for Shep but back out at the last moment. Dont think it carried on into 3?
Atleast you could as a male not sure about fem shep

There's better places to have this argument, but Shepard was the one who turned up wearing a Cerberus uniform, leading a Cerberus crew, and was the one who generally was incapable of communicating or explaining anything meaningful to her.
Vega even reports that his unit was sold out to the Collectors by a Cerberus agent, indicating that Cerberus may have had far more sinister ties to the Collectors than was apparent in ME2. Since Ash is a high level Alliance asset, it's likely she would have been aware that Cerberus wasn't the 'misunderstood vigilantes' that they were trying to be.
People have the right to get angry and make mistakes. Shepard seems to think that he gets a free pass in the Renegade dialogue.
