There's better places to have this argument, but Shepard was the one who turned up wearing a Cerberus uniform, leading a Cerberus crew, and was the one who generally was incapable of communicating or explaining anything meaningful to her.

Vega even reports that his unit was sold out to the Collectors by a Cerberus agent, indicating that Cerberus may have had far more sinister ties to the Collectors than was apparent in ME2. Since Ash is a high level Alliance asset, it's likely she would have been aware that Cerberus wasn't the 'misunderstood vigilantes' that they were trying to be.

People have the right to get angry and make mistakes. Shepard seems to think that he gets a free pass in the Renegade dialogue.

Right, because lesbian femShep didn't get any options at all *cough*gay men didn't*cough* and they didn't get a DLC featuring their romance from ME1.

It's a choose your own adventure game. Just because they probably won't cast a black actor as Shep doesn't mean that Shepard is definitely white. There is no canon because we are supposed to choose it ourselves. 

Though they are probably going to make it a male in the movie that doesn't mean Shepard is definitely a male. Honestly sometimes I forget that it can be a guy at all when I play.

They really should have made it a big budget action flick about the First Contact War...starring Eddie James Olmos as General Williams.


I would see that move 10 times in theater, then buy it on Bluray.

I don't know if my FemShep is straight or bi or whatever (maybe just Garrussexual, I suppose), but she let Kaidan die.

None of those gets you an achievement and LotSB [is awesome, true] But it's a DLC not a part of the game.. And Really, Kelly? Kelly!? She's like the Allers of ME2. And I've never saved Morinth so I didn't know Suicide by Ardat Yakshi was possible... :innocent:

Ladybro gamers and gaybro gamers are making headway in the industry but this goes to show we've got a loooong way to go to fair representation (inb4 "STFU U GOT FEMSHEP TRAILORZ") They seriously should have at least given us Vega since they were so intent on giving Joker a sexbot...

No. He should not. His survival should depend on your preferences, personality and reasoning. Not even a major Kaidan fan, but general statements like that are a tad thoughtless towards those that are.

Yeah... I can get behind that, my poor little sis thought she was in a relationship with Vega [she romanced Thane in ME2] I had to break it to her that NO ONE can romance Vega...

Look, I'm not interested in having an in-depth discussion about character personalities, preferences and my feelings on them at 3 a.m.. I'll just say that I felt Kaidan was an incredibly boring character and I felt it as soon as spoke to him on Mass Effect.

People are entitled (uh oh, that's a no-no word) to feel how they want about a certain character, but I am also. Plus, I'm just having fun with the "he should always die" remark. You're taking this a little too seriously, Made Nightwing.

The straight males demographic does not even apply here. It's like the game went out of it's way to punish straight females.

Jacob cheats on you
Thane dies and his death scene is different by one line and he is never mentioned again as Shepard's love or really in general
Vega is not romanceable despite being single and interested.

Which leaves you with Garrus (who can only be from a ME2 import) and Kaidan. I love Kaidan but if I didn't I would be really upset with this.

I feel really bad for people who romanced Jacob. Thane is better because we all knew he was going to die and at least he went out like a badass.

And I'm calling it right now, the movie is going to suck. It might've sucked a bit less if they'd gone with Femshep instead of Dudeshep (because everyone wants to see yet another generic white male space marine movie, right?) but video game movies are always terrible, so it's a foregone conclusion.

And I can't really feel hard done by as a Femshep player because we get Garrus. I feel sorry for the dudes because they don't get Garrus. It's kind of unfair to them.
