Be it inconsequential or not, it would have greatly contributed to the atmosphere and the fact that you actually assembled an intergalatic fleet and landing force!

I believe we lost the ending because all of their efforts were focused on the multiplayer instead of polishing the final chapter of the SP campaign.

Diferent Bioware team, and it is simple as hell. No, the guilt lays elsewhere...

Well..................I tried to look for the most logical reason WHY they would scrub so much of the ending this way.   But if there was a different team altogether working on the MP then there are just no excuses for what happened.

I noticed there was a distinct lack of geth, batarian and salarian aid in the final mission.

That's amazing! All of those audio files are installed on our system even though they were removed from final version of game? Why they left the files on there??

Could this be a clear indication that BioWare had planned to implement all of these dialogs but ran out of time and had to cut down the scope significantly?!

If that's so, what a shame. They should simply extend their deadline if they need more time. I don't think we would have mind waiting bit longer to get the finale we were waiting for.

This just feels... absurd.

I hope, really bloody just hope they've been left on there for a revised ending/revamp/whatthehellever...

But god almighty do I feel tired of this BS right now.

Very embarasing, isn't it?

I think there's no indoc. theory. The ending was simply neglected in its execution, and other parts of the game were trimmed down to meet deadline.

Advice to BioWare: Push your deadline if need be! You should be your own boss! You've damaged your own work... which could easily have been a masterpiece...

More and more reason for me to hope Bioware can leave EA soon with their IP's.

This. Is. Lame. This would have made the ending battle FEEL like an ending battle...like you're actually interacting with all those forces you worked so hard to build. I don't know if they got cut due to the EA gods of scheduling or the Bioware gods of trimming the fat, but either way, BOOOOOOO!

Aww, and we could have had more dialogue with Kirrahe, too? Sadness! I'll miss holding the line with that guy.

Look at Blizzard...

Blizzard's Diablo 3 and Starcraft 3 for examples, Blizzard takes the necessary amount of time to 'perfect' their games.

Instead we got a lame run through and a 10 minute lousy ending that chooses red green or blue

So much for "artistry"

Once again it just keeps going downhill after EA

A lot of that is in the game, you just need to keep talking to said people, or certain conditions have to be met (Tali dead).

People have also reported the different lines from Anderson about the reapers breaking off. It's likely related to EMS.

these are the points:
-LEAKS, something had to be changed
-NO TIME TO COMPLETE THE GAME
the problem aren't the endings, but the people who didn't stop to think about it... Indoctrination guys! we were fighting indoctrination in Shepard head! i think it's PURE GENIUS, and if we don't make the right choice, and we follow TIM's and catalyst's advices, Harbringer indoctrinated us. the RED choice should be renegade.. but only for the reapers, and it's the only one where shep survives. watch this:

and then replay the last part paying attention at this things.
the DLC will be the true end of the game, with an indoctrinated shepard or not, and the consequences of it. (sorry for my english :D)

Goddammit. Want Kirrahe on Earth dialogue. This game really should have been delayed atleast until the summertime.

Why wasn't this Grunt line in-game: "Grunt: You sure know how to show a Krogan a good time." <_<

Would of been funny as hell in the middle of the battle..

Wow. Even the "situational" stuff, the scenes that play out based upon who is alive or dead, would've added so much if it was simply included wholesale. I worked my ass off for 3 games, saving every possible ally. Why shouldn't I be rewarded by getting to have Kirrahe with me on Earth (he promised he'd come), or a Geth Prime there, or whatever? Where the hell were any of my friends and allies? It felt like the army to take back Earth was a three-man squad.

Didn't this series deserve an ending to shame all others? This series was epic, until this game started falling apart. Rather than an example of greatness, this game has become a smoking pile of FAIL. It's tragic.

Scroll down a bit and another poster translates a bunch of Geth and Turian fleet dialogue. It seems our decisions regarding Wrex and the Krogan was going to directly affect their standing with the Turians.

EDIT: The author of the page has changed some of the dialogue around. Apparently some of it, even the Geth Prime dialogue, can be heard if you kill Tali and take the side of the Geth.

Still, the Turian and Krogan thing is unfortunate, but this dialogue really doesn't imply that the ending was previously all that more diverse. Especially considering all of this is cut Earth dialogue, not epilogue dialogue.  It seems to explain how Joker got the squadmates on board, but doesn't at all explain why they were running or why the harmless beam of magic destroyed the Normandy.

So don't take it overboard. When you take everything else into account, this dialouge and what it implied wouldn't have changed much.

Nice post OP. Just makes me think back to that thread on the guy that "supposedly" made the post on Penny Arcade that works for Bioware.

Is indeed indicative of a cover up. /Tinfoil hat

I have to correct you. There is a lack of everything in the final mission.

1. take out an AA-gun. Seriously, it's atleast 500 times we have to take out an AA-gun in the Mass Effect series. Very poor idea imo.
2. Activate and guard the rocketlauncher.
3. Approach the conduit (running straight forward is not what i would call a mission.)
4. Done.

Really BioWare?
