Why does EA get so much hate?

Westwood: Acquired by EA, games rushed, fan out cry, start work on C&C generals, closed by EA
Pandemic: Acquired by EA, finish and release The Saboteur, closed by EA after six months.
Bioware: Acquired by EA, games rushed, fan out cry, start work on C&C generals 2, ???
and many others I can't think of, or don't know about.
Here's a good video on them
In 04, they were working people 100 hours a week, and not just during crunch. People were required to work from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, occasionally getting a Saturday off early (6:30) for "good behavior".
They've also been criticized for buying out smaller studios for their IPs, shutting them down, and reallocating the people they wanted to keep, while dumping the others.

People keep bashing EA on this site.
Can some please explain why?
I dont get it.
Some are saying the made bioware rush DA2 and now I see others saying ME3 too.
because its the hip thing to do apparently
yes i admit ea did have a bad past but they did in fact change a few years ago
roughly around 2008
If Bioware is still around as a brand in 5 years I'll be amazed. History says no.
and yet you still cant refute that ea did in fact change from 2008 till now can you?
they did change after they released the first dead space
as far as sports games go i can care less because im not a sports fan other than mma and i personally didnt like there mma game at all

To be honest, EA-owned developers have given me several good games, including Dead Space 1&2, Battlefield 3, Mirror's Edge, Crysis series, Freedom Fighters and more. What's been happening to Bioware is somewhat unique to Bioware in my eyes. I don't know what it is, but I wouldn't completely blame EA.
If you did the research on EA, you might find the many other games they've ruined, also BF3 in regards to its singleplayer campaign, DS 2 in regards to its campaign and the fact the ending allows for unlimited milking, and Crysis 2 and Mirrors edge have all had terrible associations in regards to the quality of their stories or their actual sales.
So doing "research" invalidates my enjoyment of those games? Good to know.
No, but it puts emphasis on points you may not know or overlook and which should indicate to you that if you're enjoying what is considered poor quality, than how much more you might enjoy high-quality.

cod is such a money grab where people have stated they will not even buy black ops 2 this year wich i dont blame them because nothing is really improved

Why would I refute your opinion? Youre entitled to it. I'd say historically EA tends to eat brands for money. I'm sure you can check that and find many examples.
I prefer to use historical fact when making analysis of a companys likely future behaviour.

but always remember someones history can change
for all you know ea can fire 100 people within next year and replace them with some fresh new people
you or i dont know how things will go
dwelling on ea's past isnt gona help your view on them in the future

Overreacting? BioWare successfully destroyed the Mass Effect universe in 10 minutes! The Citadel and mass relays getting destroyed is just... just no.Tazzmission wrote...

The fact none of our decisions mattered by the final mission (and a little before) had already destroyed the sense of continuity and immersion for many.

They actually think that after the first charge we'll do it again?
A long time ago AOL used to have per-hour charges on their basic online AOL games.
They had this Starship Trooper game I played and it ranked up 20 - 30 dollars each week from just a few hours or more of play each day.
...
Hahahahaha Like THAT is going to be allowed to happen again.
It is not only being allowed but encouraged.
Bad ending to ME3? DLC NAO. People are DEMANDING to be charged more money because the end was terrible.
its the same business practice. I mean your kidding yourself if you think Javik being on the disc wasn't greed.

I liked Generic Army A, they really showed how to die well, now I'm kind of curious where my Army went, must be passed out drunk from the drink/cigar party from the previous night to get people prepped for the big battle.

While I can see the potential path leading to it, there is a marked difference between a little DLC here and there every few months, and 30 dollars per week for 3 hours playing Starship Troopers every few days.

Anger and dispear are very powerful emotions.

They were probably drinking and having sex in all the static background mako tanks.
Generic Army B was a bit tough. Those three husks they brought with each of them.

I'm not sure my army even landed, I saw about 21 shuttles landing in that cinematic and can argue maybe another 11 came later... I'm pretty sure I had just from Aria's forces at least 5000 Vorcha which divided by 16 (shuttle occupance) is over 200 shuttles we'd need JUST for them. And since I don't see any major troop transports...

Heh. There was a disconnect of emotions in the final mission. It felt more rushed and patched together than anything. The suicide mission in ME2 was waay more emotional than ME3. Better written and done.
The only emotion in ME3, was at the ending. Disbelief and confusion were the main two.

Bioware has always had a problem with populating worlds and cities. They used to do battle scenes well. (dragon age origins was awesome for that)
But yeah, there was no army you could see that landed. Just a few shuttles. I'm sure we'll be told that its implied, its art and use your imagination.
