I'm fed up of joining public matches, only to be confronted by screaming, ****ing kids, who think its fun not to revive you just because you have a greater score than them....
I see Mass Effect as a single player game....if I wanted to join a game with idiots, I'd play CoD (which I hate btw!)
Mass Effect as always been Shepards story, I don't see how MP was needed.... ME1 & 2 didn't have it and they where great games. I want to get the "best" ending without having to deal with a bunch of loud mouthed kids, who think it "cool" to constantly swear/**** or sing during a match!!!
Anyone who wants a "serious" game on MP, send me a PM, and add me on Xbox....
I think MP was added because EA say how popular shooters are....take CoD or Battlefield, they have a huge following. (I love Battlefield 3!) But, I always saw them as two seperate games..... play Mass Effect for a truly epic single player experience, and play BF3 as a online shooter...

See, I don't want to HAVE TO play MP.... I always thought we didn't have to in order to get the best ending. (only just started on ME3) I've played 2 games of MP, and tbh it gets abit borin after a while....
i also hear if you don't do paragon/renegade choices during the you know what conversation you opt out on not getting the best ending with only 4k EMS

Me3 MP isn't that, however I keep losing connection when I do play, or I'm stuck infiltrating with three overly enthusiastic vanguards, and I lose interest.

It would be interesting if there was a group who roleplay in the MP, but alas I don't have Live.
Moreover I'm surprised if EA still plans to do games without multiplayer. They slapped it on Dead Space, on this, speculation about slapping it in DA3. Hell if they do make Mirror's Edge 2 I'm sure there will be multiplayer mode, at the worst parkour deathmatch.

I say multiplayer has saved this game! Anyone excited about completing the single player again?

I agree completely.....
every RPG I've played (since 1990!!) none of them have had MP modes.....
now BioWare/EA have done it, I'm afraid more RPG developers will follow suit

EA saw COD's sales and orgasmed, just like how they saw Skyrim's sales numbers, orgasmed then proceeded to say "we will make DA3 just like Skyrim"

God I hope not..... Dragon Age Origins was amazing..... DA2, meh not so amazing!
Skyrim and Dragon Age are two entirely different games. Each with their own merits and gameplay.....

i don`t know... it is still fresh, but it will died soon enough in my opinion, since many people who bought ME3 didn`t bought it for the MP...
but who knows...

If you get hit by a random grenade or shot while immobilised by husks (again, a lethal ability unique to Reaper faction... balance, anyone?), sure. On the other hand, if you die five times in a round then you're probably not that great an asset to the team anyway.****ing kids, who think its fun not to revive you just because you have a greater score than them....

}(+){
-dialogue choices are lot less but differ greatly compared to rest of the trilogy
-better controls(cover usage, running, tumbles)
-character relationship feels more alive( both between crew members and shep with his/her LI )
}(-){
-story is silly (that crucible **** is so dumb)
-tailored for multiplayer
-retarded and uninteresting sidequests(eavesdropping)
-plot of other trilogy games was changed for some retarded( or just extremely bad executed) technological singularity idea
-despite refusing they still failed with day one dlc, as to there is no reason to not include such valuable content in the game
-reapers are dumb (oh hi dere Sovereign)
-Cerberus and TIM storywise potential is COMPLETELY WASTED
-retarded antagonist (that asian assassin is so retarded, i almost felt like i was watching some stupid anime)
thats not all

Work and University have been getting in the way of my life (and their lives) far too much these last few weeks <_<
Holiday time I think.

Oh trust me I am counting down the days till mid-semester break. It was hard enough trying to find time to complete ME3 let alone try and dabble in the full version of the multiplayer.

Wow, you have to have some crappy luck then. I've never had a public match like that. In fact in most of mine, no one is using their mic. At any rate, I don't think MP sold any ME3 copies on its own. Could be, but unlikely considering what a tiny aspect of the game it is. EA doesn't really need to cut into that genre, Battlefield is theirs, but I can imagine how it might have increased sales...somehow.
Main thing, though is for you to just not play MP. If you want the 'best ending', then all you need is SP and the datapad or infiltrator app. Without those...then yeah, you'd need MP.

I agreee with you in that the Mass Effect series has always been about excellent single-player storytelling. When I recommend the franchise to people, the storytelling and fact that it fills an oft-overlooked niche in sci-fi RPGs always comes up.
As far as I'm concerned, that hasn't changed ("bad ending" whiners notwithstanding). Playing through all 3 games in succession still provides a fantastically tailored story that you just don't see in any other franchise, and I applaud Bioware for it.
That said, however, I'm actually really enjoying the multiplayer as well. It's becoming less and less common for any game to not include a least some form on online competitive component; it's just the way the market is evolving and if you're a gamer, love it or hate it, you're going to evolve with it.
I don't know what MP games you're joining, but I scarcely ever get any of the behavior you've outlined above.
Sure, some pick-up squads seem to be made up of people so unskilled they may as well be playing the game with their tongues, and you do occasinally get the "armchair Admiral" types who feel compelled to shout squad orders over and over into the deafening silence on the other end of their mics, but all things considered those events are few and far between.
I have a much bigger beef with technical issues such as random disconnects and people dropping out mid-run than I do with the actual people themselves.
Maybe I've been lucky or maybe you've been unlucky, but don't dismiss an entire experience based on a few negative experiences.
If anything, the multiplayer experience just feels a little shallow as-is. Hopefully Bioware continues to address some of the limitations of MP and updates it frequently (weapons, maps, conflict types, cosmetic and functional items), because it has potential to be a nice counterpoint to the heavy drama of Shepard's single-player story.

For every "Survive" mission where you face hordes and streams of enemies, it's obviously a MP map converted into single player.
And I have a hard time not blaming Bioware for spending time on adding MP and ignoring "little" details like designing an actual Tali face instead of stealing one from an online model photo and mailing in the ending.
