I'm not able to get any achievements, when I look at my achievement list, all I get is a white screen saying "this is where achievements go"

This is probably related to me not being able to log in to the EA servers and my entitlements not showing up on this site.

Sounds like you should call EA's help line

Happens to me. To solve this you DON'T need to click the Xbox button right when you get the achievement, wait until the achievement popup goes away.
