TIM literally chose Control in his choice, Saren literally chose Synthesis in his choice and Anderson himself resisted and is what represents Shepard in this triumvant.

Harbinger = Sov in this case with the Ideal of Indoctrinating Shepard. The following conversion between Shepard and Saren is EXACTLY what happens to Shepard at the end of 3 (you know this must be wrong, you made your
choice).

The destruction ending is the only one he can live in but he doesn't know that, he chose the option that he thought would kill him BUT also destroyed the Reapers.
