I would never expect a game to have as many same sex options as there are hetero relations, that just seems silly. I am not saying same-sex is silly, but you play the numbers and most people will want hetero options. I won't fault them for that.

As to Kelly Chambers, she was an Easter Egg, thus why she seemed more anemic than other options. You had to fulfill certain, albeit easy criteria to unlock the "romance".

I don't know as far as like...unlockability I'd call it an easter egg...all you really had to do as far as Im' aware is have fish in your tank, and check up on Kelly frequently between missions the way you would any other crew member. (Correct me if I'm wrong here.)

As far as the way the plot treated her...yeah, very much "easter egg" as in "inconsequential to the plot".

Still, it's nice to hear if they gave her character more respect in ME3. If we ever get the change-the-ending content I may explore that plot on a different playthrough.

wait a minute, Kaiden is gay?

th, if bioware is so focused on making us accept homosexuality, all characters should be bisexual. Why cant I be lesbian with Miranda or Ashley? Why cant I be gay with Joker or Anderson? why is it OK for some characters to be 100% straight, yet since Dragon Age 2 my character acts like a confused teenager in every AWKWARD AS HELL conversation with a gay or lesbian character as i try to avoid getting bummed.

And also, why cant I just straight bang Specialist Trainer as a man, my sheperd made it his business to nail most of his female crew, having one tell me she would rather get freaky with EDI was a serious ego hit

No.

Really, I think Femshep has enough lesbian romances. She needs more hetero ones. Girls actually play your games, Bioware. Straight ones!

You can never have enough romances!

Yes, it would be nice to add more straight ones for femShep, that doesnt mean adding gay romances for femShep is bad.

Exactly, and I just posted on a thread these days the fact that what,Kaidan suddenly turned gay when there wasn't even a hint of it in ME1? And how come guys still have 8 romance options but girls only 5? If they wanted things equal either make only straight, only bi and only gay characters through-out the series or only bi characters like in DA2.That would've been fair! But again female gamers are left out,ya we get Garrus and Kaidan but everyone from 2 either dies or gets married,****...(you know who I'm talking about).I would have loved to be with Ashley as a fem-shep,Liara is still my best bet but this still isn't fair.So what Kaidan suddenly realized he's bi and Tali and the others are still straight? Some logic here please.

Wait Kaiden's supposed to be straight? I never would have thought. Wait people let Kaiden live?

Out of 7 ME1 play throughs he hasn't left Vermire and the only time he gets to get off the ship is Eden Prime and the Citadel until I recruit Wrex. Then he goes to the ship and Ash and Wrex go on from there.

Edit
Oh and to get himself blown up on Vermire

It is easy, but it required asking/clicking specific dealog options at certain points as well before she offers to feed your fish, but yes she was an "easter gg" of sorts.  I beleive there was even a dev post about what you had to do to unlock Kelly.

My honest opinion is that the ending should not stop you from enjoying the game, I really enjoy ME3 and I am working on my third playthru for Insanity.

Well, different things are important to different people. To me, the ending actually manages to cheapen the entire experience by treating what you do as inconsequential...but again, that's a whole other Oprah that's being done to death in other threads. Suffice to say it's important enough to me that I'm waiting.

But how can  you possibly var fctb_tool when there's not a hint of FCTB_Init in the start? The fctb_tool= t! If you delete document, then 4119ae9bf85 can't possibly be in the var fctb_tool=null.

It's just common sense.

(In all seriousness, yes, I was really holding out hope that Tali would be a possibility in ME3 for a playthrough. If they had, I might even have done another almost-full playthrough just to see that side of the plot.)

the only reason i was dissapointed was she was origanlly bi in me1 til bioware patched it. she even had dialouge in me1 and me2 if u had a save with femshep romance. so people people figured it was a no brainer that she would still be bi.

This is false, her sexuality was never patched.  It was a decision made before the game launched.  They just left the files in, this is pretty common with software.

People had to mod the game to make the same sex romance work, this is not support that it was supposed to be there as part of the finished product.

hhmmm guess ive heard wrong then but that still doesnt explain the response in me2. anyway it was still pretty wanted as a romance option and with kaiden goin bi people figured, "oh ash must be bi too".

Pro tip. Go read a book on human psychology and study the part about human sexuality. Ashley won't go gay because you can't. She was born straight. If someone has concrete evidence to prove otherwise that doesn't involve religious ideology I'll be glad to hear it.

That's not elaborated on in game so you can't make that assumption with absolute certainty. I could say just as easily that Ash is attracted to women, but not to Shepard. There's a common misconception out there (in the United States, I really can't speak for other countries) that gays are attracted to every single member of the same sex and that's just not true.

What response in ME2?

There really is no precedent besides the fact that players assumed that was the case, with Ashley being bi because Kaidan was.

Ashley is hetero; you're just going to have to deal with it.

A big reason why alot of people are upset about Ash and Kaiden are they were intended to be romanced by either sex since ME1. They even recorded the dialogue but cut it at the last minute because they wanted to play it safe at the time.

Are you guys actually making up stuff as you go? She was never intended to be available for both sexes, those lines hale recorded were due to the recording process back then, hence meer's recording of femshep dialog.
Her own writer stated in a forum that neither she or kaidan were meant to be romanceable by the same sex and this fact has been linked to, many times before.
