Ignoring the ending, what were the other parts of ME3 that were badly done?

Also, **** Marauder Shields. I'm probably biased against that segment because of how many tries it took me to complete it each playthrough though.

-Reduced Squad AI from ME2
-Smaller Squad with less Dialogue/story interaction (Cortez was given more "character" than James for example)
-Visual bugs (invisible characters, crazy eyes, heads turning around 180 degrees, ect...)
-More lens flares than Star Trek
-Uncreative combat scenarios
-Combat "Wave" mentality of enemy spawning
-Reduced Enemy AI
-Lack of dialogue choices
-N7 missions feel like multiplayer missions (poorly designed for story mode)
-Nothing new added to the story (best moments were tieing up old storylines build through previous games)
-Day 1 DLC with Javick, since he has critical story comments it is a mistake to play without him (if you care about the story)
-Facial import bug on launch (obvious bug should have been fixed pre-launch)
I'm on my 3rd playthrough to complete all the achievements (my Insanity playthrough), so a lot of the problems become painfully obvious after that initial adrenaline-induced-rush playthrough. Its still a decent game, but definitely the weakest of the series by a LONGSHOT.

Everything involving Kai Leng. Especially his "ridiculous in cutscenes" nonsense.

Less Interupts
Quest Log
Some Me 2 Characters only used as filler not interesting.
Wierd walking/running animation.
Tali Picture = Epic Fail truly lazy work here.
Changes to the nomandy - was not necessary i get the transfer from cerberus to alliance
part , but blue security screen is only there to annoy you , it was a mess , poor lighting.
War assets - no purpose they could have made this alot more interesting.
Too many actions on the spacebar results in clumsy combat situations and in some cases
death.
Lack of vehicle exploration - me 1 - Mako - Me 2 - Hammerhead ( shuttle missions )
would have liked this to continue in me 3 maybe in a different way and i know not
everyone liked it but i personally did so was dissapointed.

Journal implementation.
Liara/FemShep romance scene with FemShep still in underwear while Liara was completely nude.
FemShep/Traynor romance scene with Traynor in underwear while in the shower and FemShep enters fully clothed.
The entire Traynor/FemShep so called romance. It wasn't there, it was just more like a lust thing instead of love since there was no real conversations that allowed you to get to know her better.
Auto-dialogue present in both story and RPG mode when we were guaranteed to have full control of all dialogue in both modes.
No hub worlds to visit.
Lack of mini-games.
Scanning in systems were Reapers were not present but they showed up anyways.
FemShep running looked like male Shep yet again like it did in ME2.
Helmets for armor sets like Blood Dragon Armor did not remove themselves during many conversations and cutscenes like they were supposed to.
The way they made Joker look all chunky in the face compared to his ME1 and ME2 look.
Andersons face looked all washed out compared to ME1 and ME2 look.
Every woman in the game excluding femshep got a boob job.
The Tali photoshop image.
Streamlining of the game itself to appeal to the 'casual' crowd of gamers.
The poltergeist head animations for Traynor
The broken head animations for Liara/Shep when speaking to her for the first time on the Ship after the Mars Mission where you talk to her about Glyph and he comes into the scene and Shep and sometimes Liara's head turn to follow Glyph instead of looking at one another even after Glyph left the scene.
Mordin VO is not actually Mordin because they didn't bring back the original VO. I could tell straight away it wasn't the original VO no matter how much they tried to make it sound like him.
Vega being voiced by a white male instead of a latino male. Vega is supposed to be latino but fails to sound like a authentic latino.
There is more but this is just some of the things I've found that I dislike.
About the 'boob job' thing Liara is maturing so it's natural for them to get bigger... It makes me think of Aethyta's talk about Nezzy's "rack" xD

-Tali's face, photoshopped and crap
-The 'romance' with Traynor(even though her accent is freaking awesme..)
-Broken neck problem with Liara/FemShep when speaking to her for the first time
-Mordin's VO, they ruined it with this new guy =l
-Vega's voice and him in general, most boring character ever
-MP being shoved down our throats, having to play Mp to keep readiness up =l

The cutback on interaction with your crew. Where were the long dialogues with Garrus or Tali? Why was it all like Zaeed and Kasumi in ME2? I hated that!

2. The non motion-captured animations.
3. Character creation.
4. The journal/quest log.
5. Graphics (textures/models).
6. Auto dialogue.
7. General watered-down content.
8. Game engine cutscenes (bugged animations, helmets on/off, spazzy eyes).
9. James Vega.
10. Kai Leng.

- New FShep default looks like a gorilla
- No trial in beginning
- Too much auto dialog
- Limited to always 2 choices in dialog
- Poor quest log
- Most overheard quests in Citadel were underwhelming (scanning..weeee)
- FSheps run animation, looks even worse this iteration
- Too many bugs during dialogs (heads turned away, eyes going in crazy directions, character placement popping, etc.)
- Tali's photoshop image

Side/fetch quests are the most pathetic things I've seen in a game.
Final battle on London was horribly done.

games.on.net/article/15190/RPG_on_Rails_Mass_Effect_3_and_the_Illusion_of_Choice
The game hits all the emotional highs, especially in regards to wrapping up past stories/choice. But the entire game feels like you are on the rails, being pushed forward watching a movie. It feels less like a game, compared to ME1 and ME2. This is similar issue DA2 had.
On the surface you are watching this great story, but it feels like you are experiencing it. This is especially true when it comes to choice and the lack of diversity in exploration. The world feels flat.

* I really loved the side missions in ME2. Shame we got all these probe missions. Would have wanted to actually land on the planets, even if just for 5 minutes game play.
This is the two biggest issues I had.

I think journal and animation issues can be easily fixed by patch.
Dialogues and missions can be improved by DLC. *dream scenario*
*sigh*
