Oh seriously, we have nothing to complain about. Our LIs are squaddies, present in all three games, and heartbreakingly loyal and sweet. Nothing wrong with a fade to black considering the overall quality of the romance.
Makes perfect sense. I was up in arms earlier also like gaaahh liara gets more screen time. but in reality, garrusmancers and talimancers also got the hookups compared to a good portion of other romances.

Garrus x fshep romance was perfect in timing, spacing, moments, and bonding yeck they even got a break date that was sooo sweet only the romance scene was lacking I did however like the fact he tries to comfort you which was a plus for me.
Tali x mshep lacked alot of conflict, bonding, time, and spacing in it. There seemed like to me the relationship wanted to be more but ran out of time. This couple is one of the most unique and brings with it the most unique of challenges of all the romances it didn't have time to flushout the taboo nature of their love from both sides, there was no conflict, romance, or hurt/comfort moments between the pair over the entire geth vs Quarian war, shep being placed into the reaper cyber world, or her freaking out her aunt and only family member just crashed nothing there was sooo many points where they could've really shared the burden over just the rannoch moments alone and it was gone, the citadel you get one moment, she doesn't want to talk to you on ship after Rannoch, there is no break date, and to top it all off her romance scene is 2 seconds long. Her relationship compared to garrus x fshep 9.5/10 is a 7/10 it was OK with tons of lost potential sure she's #2 on the chart for best romances but that still doesn't mean we don't get to say how disappointed we are with how the content just fell flat.

Seriously, all we get is a romance scene that last, about what, 5 seconds.
Why do the kaidan, Ashley and Liara romances get long romance scens while it's Tali and Garrus who don't have a long romance scene with their respective Shepard's
The OP is discussing the quality of the love scenes and not the romances in their entirety. I agree, their love scenes could have been better-- but these two LIs have some of the best romance dialog in the game.
Better does not imply "I want to see them nude." Though, I really can't complain. Compared to the other ME2 romances, we should be happy with what we have.
I'm all for more time with our LIs, but there are other romances that should be addressed first.

Yeah, I don't think there is much to complain about (at least for Garrus). It was overall well done, and could have been much worse (*cough* Jacob *cough*).
OT: I have yet to do a Liara romance playthrough, is it really that much better overall, or is it just more screen time? Is it much different from a non-Liara romance relationship?

A "dance- scene" that everyone gets who kept her alive through ME2's Suicide Mission. Great.

Don't get me wrong I like liara...I just doubt she would be the last thing my shepard thinks about. Where was garrus? Hell she would think of Urz before getting to Liara, she loved that adorable varren.

I actually liked Garrus's romance scene. There was so much emotion there. And that last "I don't know what I'd do without you..." Just wow. Besides, I'm kind of glad that Bioware didn't do a Liara-style "sexy" scene because it would've been very easy to mess up. The casual touches that they gave each other were much more appropriate to the general feeling of the romance (trust, mutual respect, etc).

You guys got your favorite squadmates all three games and their romance content was way better than the ME2 squadmates. So you don't get to complain or ask for more.

Agree very much. When Shep touches Garrus' face and he takes her hand, Shep gets up and their hands linger in each others for a few seconds before breaking apart... that's just so loving.

You have a right to complain about the ending, I have the right to complain about the lack of sex in a romance scene, otherwise we're all a bunch of Hypocrites when it comes to complaining about something,
And also if Thane, Jack, Miranda or hell even Jacob were on the normandy and you had romances with them back in ME2 and you got a romance scene similar to Ashley's, Kaidan's and Liara's, would I still have a right to complain about the lack of sex in Garrus' or Tali's romance scene?
And also as I said earlier, if they were back on the normandy and they had scenes similar to Garrus' and Tali's romance, I would still make the say the exact same thing in my first post, except with more words and links

Besides, the fade to black part is made up for by all the awesome fanart of Garrus and Shepard that's out there. It's phenomenal. Maybe it's my selective bias at work, but I don't think any of the other LIs have the same amount of awesome art. For example (slightly NSFW).
So I'm perfectly fine with what I got in terms of romance. It was the little references they made to my relationship with Garrus over the course of the game, rather than just the last scene, that really made it for me. Garrusmancers got off a bit better than Talimancers in that respect, since she's gone for half the game.

Yes
Are they good though?
Yes
As a Garrusmancer, I'm very satisfied. I just pretended they had sex. FemShep got some sleep and Garrus decided to put on his clothes and skip sleep. That's just how it is. The dialogues are awesome and the "awwwww they look so cute together" moments are there. No complaints from me.
Hell the Garrus romance is the only reason I had a second playthrough.

It is great. Anybody remember the scene at the hospital when Shep is supposed to be holding Thane's hands...Yeah, they were about two inches above his.
Yeah, pissed off Thane girl here. We got one whole conversation and a generic goodbye.
Do I want dlc? **** yeah! But I also support the concept for all the ME2 LI's.
