}(+){
-dialogue choices are lot less but differ greatly compared to rest of the trilogy
-better controls(cover usage, running, tumbles)
-character relationship feels more alive( both between crew members and shep with his/her LI )
}(-){
-story is silly (that crucible **** is so dumb)
-tailored for multiplayer
-retarded and uninteresting sidequests(eavesdropping)
-plot of other trilogy games was changed for some retarded( or just extremely bad executed) technological singularity idea
-despite refusing they still failed with day one dlc, as to there is no reason to not include such valuable content in the game
-reapers are dumb (oh hi dere Sovereign)
-Cerberus and TIM storywise potential is COMPLETELY WASTED
-retarded antagonist (that asian assassin is so retarded, i almost felt like i was watching some stupid anime)
thats not all

Yet they (the self proclaimed intellegent ones) fail to see the plot holes it creates and the fact it goes against previously established lore, etc.
Which is the real reason many do not like it.
I suppose thats all easy to miss if they never played all 3 games though.
It's not a matter of understanding it. It was understood when Deus Ex done the same thing.
It doesnt fit here though.
They can try to make it look as brilliant as they choose, and ignore all of these things, but the sad reality is ..
You can't polish a turd.

It's not. It's a silly Deus Ex machina trope, only used by writers who cannot think of and write a decent enough ending on their own.

And bioware can make the ending whatever they want, it's their right. Just as it's our right to be dissapointed by it.

So he isn't in a position to say it's a bad ending.
Reviewers are bribed with exclusives and sneak-peak views of future titles. It's what keeps their services one step ahead of the rest.
This argument doesn't make sense to me... just because he is paid to offer an opinion (one that differs from yours) then it means he's a corporate shill? By that logic pro-sports aren't sports because the athletes are getting paid.
He says there is nothing wrong with the ending. Described it in his own words, but doesn't back up with facts.
He spends too much time hyping the game. From in game footage to cinematics, plus reading from a script instead of talking on-screen.
If you can't see this then that's your loss.
Arguing with me and supporting that fake isn't going to make your reality any clearer.

The analogy doesn't make sense at all for athletes. It's pretty direct with reviewers. "Give us good reviews, and we'll continue to give you access to previews and exclusive interviews from time to time that will generate hits for your site." When your job is to be critical of something, and you materially gain from giving good reviews, that's where the problem lies. The problem isn't that you benefit from giving reviews, it's that you benefit from giving good reviews while presenting yourself as an "objective" reviewer.
Not that I've checked the article. And even people who believe reviewers from news sites tend to just go to IGN. I can't imagine anyone making their decision to buy a game because they heard MSNBC said it was good. Though if the MSNBC guy thought the ending wasn't full of plotholes and was complex, that tells me that MSNBC must have a culture that views ridiculous gaps in logic as deep and thoughtful.

Which reviewers do players listen to? About the only one I really pay attention to is Seth Schiesel from the New York Times. Who, incidentally, loved ME3 after being kind of lukewarm about ME2.

Cue frothing at the mouth from everyone.
Even though FOX News has its problems, MSNBC is one of the most bigoted, anti-religious, anti-constitutional, and Democrat buttocks loving news networks to ever exist. Regardless about what side they take, MSNBC's support is equivalent to getting an endorsement from Satan.
OH wait you're serious, let me laugh even harder.
MSNBC wasn't the one ranting and raving about sideboob in ME1.

Lets say you played a game, and spent the entire game trying to find an alternate route into a building for whatever reason. Thats the entire focus of the game.
Then at the end of next game learn the key was under the front door mat. Would that not defeat the entire purpose of all you done previously and make it all just seem ... stupid?
The presence of the Catalyst does the same thing to the ME series.

That is why I do not call MSNBC, IGN, or GameSpot "journalism"; they would all fire someone for putting up a review stating a game is 6/10 in their honest opinion when they want them to claim it is the best thing ever and that anyone saying otherwise just doesn't "get it". Their reviews aren't opinions, they're scripted in accordance to how much they're paid or the perks they get from the developers or producers of the game they're writing.Bcoolpro wrote...

Not sure I'd call professional wrestling a sport... since it's scripted... that's not to say there isn't a great deal of athleticism in it.
By the way, there is a lot of athleticism in pro-wrestling. It may be fake, but some of the stuff is actually impressive.
