I've got another promise that was broken and was given to us way before even ME1 was released. You might also be interested to see it was said by Hudson on an E3 video.

Go to 3:40 and you'll hear it.

"This is your story. Your adventure." Lie, lie, lie.
It's Bioware's cash cow, that's what it is. Well, not for me anymore, as long as they don't fix this!

At this point, Bioware is going to have to do a hell of a lot of straight talk (without the PR bullsh*t) to convince me to purchase DLC of any sort.

Or any future game for that matter.

How is this even remotely true??? I got a few lines of text that tells me about Rachnii engineers working on the Crucible? That counts as "huge consequences"??? I didn't event see them at all!

I don't even... wow... that guy is one hell of a bull****ter.

The question is, can we get the same endings by simply playing Mass Effect 3 by itself (new character), or does importing our saves actually get us new endings?

I can see no noticeable differences myself.

No, there is no change to the endings at all.  Your previous games don't matter at all.

The Rachni one always makes me laugh. I was hoping they would fight in the final battle, would of been epic to see Rachni vs Ravager.

I like to equate Drew Karpyshyn and Mac Walters as being to 'Mass Effect' what Ron Moore and Brannon Braga were to 'Star Trek':

Karpyshyn/Moore - great grasp of plausible-sounding science fiction, and great storytelling skills.

Walters/Braga - write great character dialogue from other people's stories, or work well in collaboration with a 'steady hand on the wheel', in the form of a co-writer with the skills of a Karpyshyn/Moore. Weak grasp of real science, and thus write laughably poor pseudo-science that defies the suspension of disbelief if left unchecked.

This is your story.  Your adventure.  So long as you don't betray our artistic integrity like a spoiled, entitled brat.

Yeah in my playthrough, Hackett said that the Rachnii were helping to work on the Crucible. And then later in the game when I asked Hackett about the Rachnii, he said something to the effect of; "Forget about that plan.It didn't work out."
Mind you, I killed the Queen in ME1.So I'm guessing the Reapers turned her into a husk but kept her intelligence in tact for her appearance in ME3? Because even my Shepard says "I killed her" when you meet up with the Rachnii Queen  in ME3.
Doesn't make any sense.

You didn't know she had an evil twin roaming around space obviously! ;)

He can't even use the excuse that he had no part in designing the Rachni or any other parts of the game that he misspoke about. In the same interview he states he has played nothing but Mass Effect 3 for the last 6 or 8 months.

After playing ME3, and looking at all the lies they told (even after the game went gold) I think its safe to say I will never purchase any game with Bioware or EA involved.

DA2 was bad ... and now this.
If you can't trust whats advertised right before release, what else will have the truth "enhanced"

Would explain how QECs go from being able to only interact with one other location to being able to interact with any number of other QECs in the galaxy.

The presence of the Rachni] has huge consequences in Mass Effect 3. Even just in the final battle with the Reapers.

I'm not into the whole "they Lie!" thing as i dont believe it is constructive.

But that quote... it just isn't true: the Rachni presence is of practically no importance whatsoever.

I just dont understand how they can be saying these things and then we get to the game ourselves and find that our experience is completely different to their pre-release statements such as this.

It baffles me absolutely.

Does BioWare put more emphasis on writing than other videogame companies?

For sure. You’d be hard-pressed to find another company or another game that’s had eight writers on it, let alone eight in-house writers, plus a lead writer.

Yet the ending is written by the project lead and lead writer with no input from the rest of the team, unlike the rest of the game.

lol

You’ve established that this is the end of Shepard’s story. How difficult is it crafting an ending to a big saga like this?

The trick is, because it’s a BioWare game, there will be more than one ending. Which means there’s more than one ending to Shepard’s story. It’s not a matter of saying, “Here’s an optimal ending.” There’s gonna be different options, different endings.

In one of the threads, which I can't find now, I believe it was mentioned that the Rachni *were* supposed to be seen taking part in the battle, but that the scene was cut, along with others.

You got to give the man props, he sure knows about fictional storytelling: Just a shame the medium for the fiction was the interview and not the game.
