When Shepard asks Hackett "Why me?"

and

The TIM confrontation before the whole Catalyst scene... I was eating my sofa in desperation.

You can't go wrong at "Had to be me...someone else might have gotten it wrong".

Also, "You are welcome to return to Rannoch, Admiral Raan...with us." was a small, but powerful line. That was when it struck me just how great an achievement I'd managed to pull off.

Ya know, posts like this are why I get so tired of the haters. I mean, there they are complaining about how the writing sucked sooooo badly, and yet look at the lines people remember? THATS bad writing?

There are 3 ways to approach anything in life. Negatively, positivel or in it's entirety. If you only look at the negative, that's all you will ever see. Which explains the haters. Me? I try to see everything as a whole. There is just to much good writing in this game. Yeah yeah, maybe not the place for this rant, but hey, it's a Necroed thread. Zombies deserve to take one to the cranium!

"I'm proud of you." is still, in my estimation, one of the most powerful lines in the game. Laying there, dying. Mission accomplished (or so you think at the time). Anderson finally goes to his final rest. Just one of many lines that bring a tear to the eye.

I agree Wolfva. For all the complaints I have about Mass Effect, I can't deny that it's still fantastically entertaining in the way a lot of it is written. Mordin singing before dying will always be up there with Anderson's last words.

Shepard/Miranda and a lot of their dialogue.

"The odds are against us."
"Maybe. But I have a good feeling about this."

"I know you. You'll find a way to win. And when you do... I'll be waiting for you. I won't say it's been easy, but we've had a good run."
"The best."

"Still impatient, Commander?"
"Still trying to maintain control, Ms. Lawson?"
"Trying... but failing."
"Good. I'm almost out of moves."
"I'm not."

Also, Shepard's speech on the fob prior to starting the final run.

I typically do the speech as: Renegade. Renegade. Paragon.

Maybe it's because I've only gone paragon for Mordin curing the genophage, but I've never heard him sing right before he gets blown up. However, his singing and 'entertainment' he left on that datapad in citadel dlc really got me. It's like I almost forget that he died and then hearing that made me remember and miss him even more.

Really Aarch? Then get thee to the Youtube! Look it up, it's quite touching. Next go around, be nicer to Mordin. He's a very interesting, 3dimensional character.

If he sings in the med bay when talking to Eve, he won't sing in the shroud. Of course, this depends on whether or not you got him to sing in ME2.

Yep, every time I've played ME3 he's sung while I'm conversing with Eve. Maybe I'm forgetting cause it's been a while, but he sings in ME2?

He....he baked you a cake? He never baked ME a cake. <sniffle>

Then again, not sure if I'd like a cake baked by a Salarian. As Javick says, 'They eat flies.'

Trying to think of lines that haven't already been said...

Zaeed- "Hell of a fight Shepard. You should've seen it.
TIM- "Earth. I wish you could see it the way I do, Shepard. It's so....perfect."
Everything Shepard says during Thane's funeral.
The scene between Shepard and Ashley before Priority: Earth "When I first saw you on Eden Prime, I saw a woman who never gave up. You lost your company, expected no help, and there you were, fighting an invasion single-handed" "Shepard, you don't have to say anything." "Yes, I do. I love you." :crying:<3 Couldn't have put in better myself in a million years.
Miranda before dying- "I just wish- "

Also, for the lulz
(Shepard makes a joke about Garrus face) Garrus"Raise your hand if you've never died before."(raises hand)

I assumed that he'd only sing to himself in ME3 if you got him to do so in ME2. Maybe I'm wrong. I decided to skip the question of how Mordin is treating Eve, as I always found it to be unnecessary to ask. That's when I noticed the change in his death scene.

His singing in ME2 is great, but I love how you get the full song in the Citadel DLC on a datapad.

"Oh Blue Rose of Illium...." -- Now I just tell Ereba to dump him in ME2 to save herself the heartache, and I don't have to find that recording.

"I should go."

I partly agree. That line by Anderson was pretty powerful, and I really liked it. But if I am approaching the game in its entirety, I see that despite the awesome lines that are definitely there you will also find a huge amount of poop.

Examples:
"This isn't about strategy or tactics"

"Without us to stop it, synthetics will destroy all organics"

"Process of elimination, mixed with a little desperation"

"Add your energy to the crucible."

I like when I choose destroy and the Geth and EDI live. EDI says, and I may be paraphrasing here, "That's because how Code works in real life, you can target the parts you want. Particularly if you are a self-proclaimed intelligence that has been around in the galaxy for untold generations of species."

:D

Later, your LI pulls you out of the rubble and says, "For a minute, I thought you were dead.  Then I realized, based on how breathing works, that I saw you inhale which meant you were alive.  Thank you basic biology class!"

Those are my two favorite lines.

Legion: Do you remember the question that started this war, Tali? Does this unit have a soul?
Tali:: The answer to you question Legion, is yes.
Legion: I know Tali... but thank you. Kheela Se'lai.

One of my favourite exchanges in the series, only it's ruined in 5 minutes if you go talk to EDI in the cockpit after that mission. <_<

EDI: Hey, did you notice how Legion used the word "I"? He was being an individual you see. Don't you like how subtle we are? SUBTLETY I TELL YOU!!!
