They don't have a gun. They're like Iron Man and have hand cannaons in their palm. Except due to this being Mass Effect something tells me the thing in the palm of her hand is just something to concentrate her biotic powers into a focused beam type attack through her palm.

Still needs to do less damage.

I agree the gun damage of a phantom is retarded. It does similar damage to my Mattock X, and it's a frigging pistol/whatever she's holding like it's Harry Potter's wand. Yet, she'll happily kill you with it from half a level away, and it's two shots and you're dead.

Other than that, though, I don't have that many issues with them. I am FAR more annoyed at the Banshee's "You're twenty feet away from me, yet I will suck you towards me and insta-kill you."

Now THAT is bullpoo.

Phantoms are insanely weak if you have stasis - I jave never seen it fail on Bronze/silver - and they are wildly vulnerable to overload. Overload knocks down the barrier so any power can hit them but I keep using it because she can't dodge it and it stuns her.

Phantoms are nothing compared to the banshees and geth primes as top end baddies.

Really? Phantoms? Fight a Banshee, witness how terrifying they are, then see how not OP a phantom is. Heck, you don't even need stasis or energy drain.

Banshee's are pretty damn weak just like the phantom if you have Biotics on your side...but they can't cloak, they can't dodge/roll, take cover, they scream louder than a girl riding a sybian, attack animation is very predictable, and you can SEE and dodge the warp easily.

Phantoms aren't too bad if you aren't a pure sniper, imo. Auto-aim abilities, especially those that stagger or stun, shotguns, stasis, etc. can all dispose of phantoms pretty quickly. Most of the time banshees are more of a threat simply because they flush you out of cover and are slower to take down.

Also, it always seemed like the Iron Man hand-beam thingy to me.

If you team up in multiplayer properly... you can take down a phantom quick and fast. It gets hectic when the players are not cooperating and suits you find if you die for being a selfish player.

Phantoms are the only thing that actually make cerberus a bit hard. Everything else is easy, even on gold.
No, I'm definitely against phantoms. And yes, they kill me quite often.

Lots of posters going on about saying just use stasis. Well dang you all make it sound like everyone has stasis. Moving on it feels like the phantom hand cannon got an accuracy buff from the demo in my personal experience. Most of the times the cannon would just hit me if I had my shield up and often miss if it was down. It would be nice to see a nerf to the accuracy or frequency of use of the hand cannon. Phantoms shouldnt be better shots than Nemesis.

Should always have a shooter, biotic, infiltrator, or a sentinel/engineer or another another. Biotic.

Shooter can be soldier/sentinel/engineer.

Shooter is to draw Agro take hits and in general distract and help keep sheild/barriers down. Solder can do crowd controle too.

Biotics stay back from the fighting taking the lightest of weapons to keep cool downs as Los as possible and doing massive amounts of damage.

Infiltrators heal get objectives and deal damage when they can.

You don't need stasis but it helps a little. And don't forget to invest in some sheilds and health.

Stasis is the best option but like I said Overload is also a killer vs the Phantom and a generally overlooked power to use even not vs shields.

It's actually really hard to land biotic explosions on Phantoms tbh. 

But there are many ways to deal with them:
-Stasis
-Decoy
-Human Vanguard
-Valiant or Black Widow Infiltrator (a decent one at least)
-Shotgun infiltrator
-Overload/Energy Drain spam
-Turian soldier I've found locks them down pretty well

I recently figured out a decent way to handle them 1v1 on my SHuman entinel also, spam throw at them on that short cooldown, it forces them into their "defense" crouch and they stop shooting your face off, and then just shoot them while they're there.

thats because you dont know how to fight them.

engineers with the proper tool, can make the phantoms die in seconds..
same with a good infiltrator..
boom headshot!.. they're gone woohoo!.


Also I wouldnt blame the game if you have serious tunnel view syndrome to dont see when enemies cloack right infront of you.

dont be silly, each character as its function...
engineers are mostly destroyers of barriers and shields.. and distractors (decoys and drones)

soldiers and sentinels are mixed bullet sponges to get the brunt..
also thinking "asari  and salarians are a sure recipe for sucess" is a retarded thing, it all depends on skill.
hence why the vanguard hate on bad players.. a bad asari.. = few biotic comos.. few biotics combos = very low damage, thus they die.

Keep her the way she is. While she's annoying as hell, she's fairly easy as long as people know what to do. It's all about coordination (or someone using Stasis).

I don't mind phantom's damage, I think it's the fact that they're one of the hardest enemies to hit in the game, but are so durable that makes them hard.

I find phantoms a good addition to Cerberus concidering that over all I find fighting Cerberus easy, just know your tactics.
