Shiala sends Shepard another private terminal message but this time its a distress call for help, the colonist's indoctrination has evolved and they are turning against her, she has managed to somehow withstand full transformation and she is highly outnumbered and in hiding, Commander Shepard must now return to Feros, rescue Shiala and purge Zhu Hope's Colony of indoctrination once and for all.
Afterwards the player has the option of.............
- Recruiting Shiala to join The Normandy Crew and become a full time Asari Commando Squadmember and new love interest option (if she joins and becomes a squadmember you would loose her war assest points)
- or tell her to report to Admiral Hackett to join the Crucible team a la Ashley Williams option thus keeping her war assest points in the process

I found Shiala to be a very interesting and mysterious character, she also gave off a tempting sexual tension.. Liara is my no1 true romance obviously, but Shiala is like playing with fire

Very sexy and very tempting...

The opportunity to include Shiala as part of the squad would has even more due to her: her previous experience with Shepard and Matriarch Benezia, exposure to the Reapers (she is still indoctrinated), her knowledge of the Prothean cipher, and now her shared consciousness with the other members of Zhu’s Hope. At the end of her recruitment mission you can put her in the empty environmental room in the Normandy.
Sounds like fun to me.

If she does make a return, I do hope she looks like her old ME1-self. This may sound weird, but I thought she looked... bloated... in ME2, whereas she was very lean in ME1.

So this DLC would never work. Why bother making DLC is there is a 50/50 paragon/renegade chance that Shepard executed her.
And seriously Mass Effect is not a space opera. To make new DLC just because you want to romance that character is pointless. You are supposed to shoot things in a shooter games and not to only get laid. I had enough after Liara got her own DLC. But at least she was official romance option.

I was always hoping she'd turn into another Thorian....

No, it's not a space opera and it's neither a shooter. It's an action RPG. If you're looking for shooters, there's a lot other options.
On topic:
I'd love to explore Feros again, but Shiala... meh... I still hold grudge for her for touching Shep so intimately. Where was the renegade interrupt to stop her from doing that?

Would buy such a DLC if I could play it on PS3 with surviving colony and Shiala, as I never shot Shiala and failed the colony on all my ME1 playthroughs on PC.

Almost every site I check says Mass Effect is in fact a space opera. I'm not saying all those sites are automatically right and you're wrong, but why do you think it isn't one?

Ok let me rephrase. Mass Effect is not only space opera. There a lot of shooting, solving problems and saving the galaxy going on. And then, of course there is your LI somene you can get really obssessed with (yes I am guilty ). But what you basically want to hear is - ME game doesnt really fits into one genre category and what it does its that it pushes the genre boundaries and plays with them in order to create something new. Thats something you always need to do when you want to be original. But still, its game where you shoot things most of the time. Not a dating sim. There is no way that you can have everyone as LI.
However, making new DLC only because you want to romance someone who only had brief role in the game is unnecesary. And more oever if there is a chance that the person and colonosts are dead. But people will be never content with what was offeref to them. First there is not enough romanceable characters, then there is too many and suddely these is not enought male LIs again.
And as I came there again, what ME needs is more male LIs. So if you demand Shiala I am asking, give me Major Coats or something.
