Ok guys here it is, what do you think about this idea?

Shiala sends Shepard another private terminal message but this time its a distress call for help, the colonist's indoctrination has evolved and they are turning against her, she has managed to somehow withstand full transformation and she is highly outnumbered and in hiding, Commander Shepard must now return to Feros, rescue Shiala and purge Zhu Hope's Colony of indoctrination once and for all.

Afterwards the player has the option of.............

- Recruiting Shiala to join The Normandy Crew and become a full time Asari Commando Squadmember and new love interest option (if she joins and becomes a squadmember you would loose her war assest points)

- or tell her to report to Admiral Hackett to join the Crucible team a la Ashley Williams option thus keeping her war assest points in the process

This would work, but when you say purge Zhus hope - do you mean kill?

I would love if Bioware does DLC regarding Shiala, I really enjoyed the Shiala/Zhu's Hope mission and after her little flirt in me2 I was expecting some new content in me3. But was let down with a bleh email.

I found Shiala to be a very interesting and mysterious character, she also gave off a tempting sexual tension.. Liara is my no1 true romance obviously, but Shiala is like playing with fire ^_^ ehm Liara would kill me.

Very sexy and very tempting...

That would be great, but I doubt Bioware would add a potentially dead character as DLC (unless they put 2 Shialas, like they did with the Rachni queen, and in a Samara/Morinth way... the real one, and a thorian clone who would be less... engaging)

Yes, please. I love this character and always wished she was in the squad instead of Liara. I think she's more interesting because of her backstory and redemption. Also thought she was a lot more attractive.

Great idea, especially regarding the fact that Shiala is a character full of a lot of plot possibilities. It also provides the interesting concept of a paragon based DLC since it was a paragon (but imho just human) decision to let her live in ME1.

An adventure on Zhu’s Hope has lots of opportunity (being a center of Prothean technology).

The opportunity to include Shiala as part of the squad would has even more due to her: her previous experience with Shepard and Matriarch Benezia, exposure to the Reapers (she is still indoctrinated), her knowledge of the Prothean cipher, and now her shared consciousness with the other members of Zhu’s Hope. At the end of her recruitment mission you can put her in the empty environmental room in the Normandy.

Sounds like fun to me.

She's already says she can't be separated from the colonist being near them help her fight off indoctrination their hive mind is stronger then reaper signals so they all must fight and die together so I don't think she can be part of your crew unless you take a good amount of her colonist with her, but its a neat idea thought its how I thought we'd see her again but BW had other plans.

I'm fine with the mission and all that, not too sure about the full time squad member though since she is just a background character. And if I get my Tevos romance you can have your Shiala romance ;).

All my Shepards have been secretly in love with Shiala since ME1, so I'd love to see her again. I'm afraid thehomeworld has it right, though, she needs to be with the colonists if she doesn't want to risk full indoctrination again. At least, as the lore stands now.

If she does make a return, I do hope she looks like her old ME1-self. This may sound weird, but I thought she looked... bloated... in ME2, whereas she was very lean in ME1.

Nope it wont work. Simple reason - Because she can be dead and the colonists can be killed by Shepard too.

So this DLC would never work. Why bother making DLC is there is a 50/50 paragon/renegade chance that Shepard executed her.

And seriously Mass Effect is not a space opera. To make new DLC just because you want to romance that character is pointless. You are supposed to shoot things in a shooter games and not to only get laid. I had enough after Liara got her own DLC. But at least she was official romance option.

She could die and yet she appeared in ME2. It was strange that she didn't appear in ME3 at all. But I believe some ME2 romances should be done better before adding new options...After that or along with such DLC- why not? The more options the better.

This is a great idea for a dlc and if shiala died in ME 1 she could easily be replaced by some one else

No, it's not a space opera and it's neither a shooter. It's an action RPG. If you're looking for shooters, there's a lot other options.

On topic:

I'd love to explore Feros again, but Shiala... meh... I still hold grudge for her for touching Shep so intimately. Where was the renegade interrupt to stop her from doing that?:P

It would be exclusive to 360/PC players who imported a save from ME1 through ME2. I wouldn't even be able to play it, because I have ME3 for PS3. Genesis is just no-import with 6 choices.

Would buy such a DLC if I could play it on PS3 with surviving colony and Shiala, as I never shot Shiala and failed the colony on all my ME1 playthroughs on PC.

Almost every site I check says Mass Effect is in fact a space opera. I'm not saying all those sites are automatically right and you're wrong, but why do you think it isn't one?

Hmmm, didn't Shiala send a message about her and the colonists being telepathicaly linked? So if you are intimate with her... Implications... awesome! M.

Ok let me rephrase. Mass Effect is not only space opera. There a lot of shooting, solving problems and saving the galaxy going on. And then, of course there is your LI somene you can get really obssessed with (yes I am guilty ). But what you basically want to hear is - ME game doesnt really fits into one genre category and what it does its that it pushes the genre boundaries and plays with them in order to create something new. Thats something you always need to do when you want to be original. But still, its game where you shoot things most of the time. Not a dating sim. There is no way that you can have everyone as LI.

However, making new DLC only because you want to romance someone who only had brief role in the game is unnecesary. And more oever if there is a chance that the person and colonosts are dead. But people will be never content with what was offeref to them. First there is not enough romanceable characters, then there is too many and suddely these is not enought male LIs again.

And as I came there again, what ME needs is more male LIs. So if you demand Shiala I am asking, give me Major Coats or something.

I think this could be a fun idea for a mission, the squadmember addition would be cool but it's not a requiremnet for me.

If Shiala cant be separated from the colonists, what was she doing on Illium by herself? She could definitely be apart of the squad and an LI imo. She was up for it in ME2. (Being an LI) Shiala has become sort of a cult favorite with a lot of people. Its great to have such a rich ME universe!

I like Shiala but I would be too afraid of my Shep coming down with the spores! The again you could make a Shep named Orion Shepard or Broccoli Keeps You Regular Shepard. . . As they say: once you go green, anything less makes you get all mean.
