Oh yeah. The fanbase was secured by the first two games, they could have had us waiting for even longer and make a huge profit, if not a bigger one.

as long as we knew why it was being delayed, I would have happily waited.

Why not?  Waited this long.  I didn't really start frothing at the mouth until the FMVs started coming out.

Miyamoto said it best: "A delayed game is eventually good.  A bad game is bad forever."

Of course I would. Give them time to flesh out RPG aspects, romances (especially Jacob, Jack, Thane and Miranda), the endings, the overall singleplayer length, and multiplayer.

I would still have fun with Mass Effect 2 and many other games to keep me company while I wait for Mass Effect 3's release in November.

I've been waiting for Guild Wars 2 FOREVER. I wouldve happily waited another 6 mo. for a proper conclusion to mass effect.

Easily have waited til November. A quality game can make up for delay in time
(look at SCII)

Hoping afew DLCs and patches will fix and improve the game to what Bioware used to offer us with ME, ME2, DA:O

I'm hoping for this but at the same time I'm angry that I have to wait for DLC to actually have a complete game.

For a finished game with out so many glitches and more endings, yeah no problem. Games get delayed all the time and as we saw with ME3 waiting longer for a game is better then getting an unfinished one.

If retake stays together long enough to get new endings I am hoping this will prove to EA that they will lose money in the long run if they rush Bioware games out the door and they will never make that mistakes again.

Hold the line for as long as it takes to get new endings.

Yes, Bioware dev cycle is too short nowadays.

At least for what they want to do it is.

EA wanted the game out before the end of the fiscal year so they just railroaded the hell out of ME3 and left their phones off the hook.

this. The first time I heard about Final Fantasy Versus I was like 16. Now I'm 22 and don't even play Square-Enix games or JRPG's in general anymore and I will still be first in line to buy it in 2020 or whenever it comes out.

That being said I understand why it makes sense for a company that cares more about the bottom line than the quality. Because they likely haven't lost many sales (because so many fans trusted Bioware and pre-ordered or bought it within the first week) and they save a ton of money by giving us a game with corners cut everywhere.

Sure. As someone from Valve once said, a game is LATE only until it ships. A game that SUCKS sucks forever.

No question. Don't get me wrong what is there is good (with the obvious exception of the ending) but i can't help but feel the game is a little small. Most of the missions are simply scanning planets, the only diversion from the main storyline are then n7 missions, of which there are about six. Compare this to mass effect 2, which had side missions galore, it makes the 3rd game feel a little, underwhelming. The fight for earth was also a little short but what was there was good. Perhaps I just got caught up in all that pre launch hype and developed unrealistic expectations for the game.

I'm of the feeling the majority of games these days are rushed. I'd have waited till next year for ME3 if that's what it took to make the game Perfect™ (no game is ever perfect). What grabbed me about the series was the story. It feels like someone tossed it to the floor, threw a temper tantrum, and stomped all over it.

This also makes me think that EA is planning on having Bioware release another Mass Effect game in the next 1.5-2 years (or at least was). Because why else would they rush to get this game out unless they wanted to be able to start something else soon? (and knowing EA it's unlikely it'd be for a new IP)
