I would have waited another few years if that's what it took. I wasn't in a hurry to be done with the series, why would I be?

I'd done an "aww" but I'd totally be down for them delaying it to get it right.

They wouldn't even have necessarily had to delay it. If they'd come out in the first place and placed the release date around 2013, or just not given it a hard release date until late in development, no one would have even thought about it.

I would have waited another year just so Mass Effect could get the proper goodbye it deserves.

Yeah the only way it makes sense is if EA plans on having then work on another big title right away. Or EA actually thinks all gamers have the attention spans of gnats and will forget about games if they don't release one a year. Which is also entirely possible.

i am always willing to wait longer for a good game. i would have waited three more years for ME3 if it meant it would be the most epic of all games. it was a great game. but it could have been epic. i still like it, i am still trying to understand the ending, in fact ive even thought about playing another play through just to see if i missed any clues about this indoctrination theory.
but i dont even have the time to play more than a hour a week for the next 4 months.

I would have happily waited. This is the final part of an epic trilogy, if there is any time a developer should be allowed to take their time over a game to make sure it delivers 100% it is on something like this. I don't know if extra time would have made any difference or if the result would have been the same, but if it was needed then it certainly should have been taken.

Nope. When they continue to push games back you end up with a title like Duke Nukem Forever.

You know very few games that get pushed back are like Duke Nuke'em, right?

Definitely could have waited. I was still playing the crap out of ME1 and ME2 multiple times over.

Now with ME3's ending totally making all my different choices and playthroughs pointless its hard to even think about putting the disc back in my Xbox.

Hell no bioware did an incredible job with the whole series and they should have no regrets

Look how long people waited for Starcraft II.

And Diablo III.

Did Starcraft II not sell as well because of the wait? Does anyone think Diablo III is going to take a hit in sales because of the wait?

I wish EA would do what Activision does and let the company work in peace. Rushing games really doesn't help anyone.

I mean, I'm an european still waiting for Bioware Bazaar so why wouldn't I be able to wait for the game... jeez.

Yes. I have plenty of other things to do with my time. I wasn't counting down the days until ME3 released. Looking forward to it, absolutely - but very comfortable waiting.

Seconded unless someone else are seconded then thirded.

I would have been happy with a few months extra for some more hubs and better sidemissions (which don't all involve scanning planets). I disagree about earth though, I enjoyed the final mission in London (although there should have been a trial at the start of the game).

Saying that, ME3 was no Dragon Age 2- it was still a good game even if it was lacking in a few areas IMO.

Absolutely. I fully trusted Bioware, even after the DAII debacle, which I really didn't feel was that bad. When I heard about the delay, I was initially disappointed, but then thought "Well, at least they are taking the time to polish and refine the game. I'd rather wait for a long time than have a unfinished game like KotOR II."

Or, you know, so they could add useless Kinect support and multiplayer. Whatever. I wonder how much Microsoft paid them for that.

I'm also willing to continue to wait if they continue to support their game. There are a number of games which saw a second pass improving their game immensely. Witcher 1, Gothic 2 spring to mind. Witcher 2 is now getting the same treatment.

I'm not sure if Bioware should do a Mass Effect extended cut edition or anything along those lines.

But allowing developers to go back and tweak things, and do things that they wish they had done, but had to scrap because of time constraints is a great idea.

Instead of just add a two hour mission, or another companion. I know that's Bioware's MO. But a second pass at ME3 might be what it needs to be truely great.

Because money and time are infinite quantities and BioWare is just a bunch of hippies who care nothing about making money and feeding their workers/families.

They spent nine years on this game series people.
