Most definitely. I was actually rather surprised it came out as soon after ME2 as it did.
This.
It shocked even me, and you know what. That short development cycle shows. ME3 is unfinished.
I'm sure some may argue that ME3 was in development during ME2, but a hiatus in between games would have given time to recouperate and come at the final game from different angles.
Instead we get this...

Waited, obviously.
But chances are the release was rushed because they needed a boom in profit, perhaps even to fund polishing the game and creating DLC.
Funny how valve and blizzard (the top two game developers in history) don't have a problem with delaying gams as long as it takes to get them fully complete. Why is it Bioware has to rush then?
If you want to consider it a work of art then you don't rush it to meet artificial deadlines.

So yes, Bioware could have done way better with more time.

everyone gives Blizzard so much flak for taking forever to get their games out, but I've never bought one of their games and felt cheated, let down, or disappointed. they deliver on what they say theyre going to do and if it takes another year then people have to wait but the final product is always spectacular. to prove the point name one failed game by blizzard
I totally agree. I would say this is one of Blizzard's strong suites. They take as much time as they need to get a really great, finished, polished game out. It takes them forever to finish, but the final product is something people will love for years and years afterwards.
Hell, I still regularly do Diablo 2 LAN parties.

They're owned by EA, that's why lol.
Neither Valve nor Blizzard have that problem.

My answer to the question though? I gladly would have waited.

If they delayed the game for another 6 months before I had a chance to witness the shameful atrocity of an ending I would have probably been a bit peeved because I didn't know what the issue was. I wouldn't have raged online, but I would have been disappointed.
Then again, it comes back to an open dialogue between developers and consumers.

Same with Valve.
I have NEVER EVER felt disappointed by a Valve product.
They couldn't cope with the episodic production schedule, so they just quit it. I respect that.
