With all due respect (sorry :D), that's bullcrap. If (please) BioWare does this, it certainly isn't a "dangerous precedent". It isn't dangerous in any sense, and it surely isn't precedent, it has been done multiple times already, most famously Bethesda with Fallout 3 and Broken Steel (THAT should be taken as a precedent. When a post-release DLC that alters the ending actually makes the game more enjoyable and even managed to sell more copies... Learn, EA.)

This.

Also, I don't mind any kind of pricetag myself, so long as it's good.

Can we stop linking to IGN and give them add-revenue? (unless you run adblock, you are excusesd)

IGN is a ****ty, biased source of game related news with an ego to fit.
Besides, most of their stuff now seems to just be nerdbaiting, just say controversial stuff, get lots of page views and look... add revenue.

anyway, even if its true that they will charge for it... they can expect me to buy it, but I will never ever buy another bioware product again.

CD Projekt RED did a massive (hopefully) upgrade of the witcher 2 games without charging, but I suppose Bioware is going to be more interested in money than in winning over their fans.

Those tools can lie in the bed they made themselves. Stop giving them traffic.

My thoughts exacly, I actually tweeted to him saying "Have you been on Biowares forms since the ME3 release?"

But if it doesn't support his slippery sloap argument/agenda, then it "doesn't exist"

Well..... CDPR does not have their games being published by EA either..... but  yea CDPR are incredibly good to their fan-base.

I agree with them. I'm not surprised they picked a side, and at least in doing so they told you what side they were on. They could be like FOX and claim to be unbiased. To be honest, FOX really pisses me off.

Can we never refer to IGN ever again?

They basically talk up and praise games/developers who pay them the most money. It's widely known and it's why IGN has been a joke for years.

I don't know if any of you caught the spoilercast on Friday, but not all IGN writers and editors share Colin Moriarty's opinions. In fact they made it pretty clear that they firmly believed in the Indoctrination Theory. So while they may be biased (As all gaming sites usually are) don't let Moriarty's opinion sour your view on all of them. If we do that it makes us no better than everyone calling us whiny and entitled.

I'd like to see evidence of that. (Not being sarcastic) However, I doubt any exists.

"It's really the work of a super minority. The game has sold millions of copies *goes into leading speculation*" - hilarious. Can people and a website have negative credibility, or is zero the lowest credibility can go?

Riddle me this: 1.3 million in pre-orders according to www.vgchartz.com/preorders/40972/USA/ This stat can never be used to say "Millions of people bought the game therefore it is good." because a pre-order is based on advertising and company inspired hype. Those 1.3 million people, including me, did not get to play through the entire product before making a purchase decision.

Pre-order numbers are also inflated by 'exclusive pre-order content'. This is a form of bribery. It's been done in politics for generations. Who doesn't have a story from their dad about local politicians offering alcohol to their dad's parents for a vote?

In fact, you really can't take the first 2 weeks of sales as anything but the success or failure of the advertising campaign or brand recognition.

It isn't Bioware that would be to blame, its EA. They have the ultimate say on what will be charged for. Developers aren't allowed to make their own call on those sort of things. If they were, I can guarantee that you'd see a lot more free content for games. And even if EA approves something for free, you still have Microsoft and Sony to deal with, and they have interest in making a return on the content as well. Too many hands in the cookie jar.

Colin Moriarty just makes me laugh. He doesn't even talk about the false statements during pre-launch once. He got busted by Forbes for being a hypocrite (ie Infamous 2). So now he has lost respect for people? I think he would have to respect people first, before losing it.

On a side note, did he shave his head in protest?

I think he just has a high opinion of himself and thinks that he's smarter than us, and that were all just "cry babies, because there is a bittersweet ending" when in reality the ending doesn't make a proper amount of any sense whatsoever.

"We looked for someone who wanted to speak in favor of Bioware's decision but couldn't find a single one". Really? You know, there ara seventy ****ing thousand ones here at this very same forum and plenty of them in any non-mainstream videogame reviewing website. IGN makes me wish regulatios on press and information would so much harder, because that in my ****ing house is called libellum.
