First off, I still don't know why people take IGN's word over BW. So far IGN has claimed BW is changing the ending as well new DLC regarding the ending will cost money......As BW has NOT said anything on this topic, I question where IGN is getting this information. They seem to just be spouting this crap to get attention to their biased paid off selves.

2nd though, as much as I admittedly now hate IGN. I can't say I hate all the people there. From what I have heard, there are actually quite a few people at IGN that are actually in the Retake ME3 Ending camp. It appears to be mostly the very loud Collin guy who is so outspokenly for the endings and against changing anything. IF this is true, it would mean that (ironically where Collin is concerned) only the loud and whiny (tehehe) minority (lol) at IGN are being so down on changing the ending. So as always, let's be as respectful as we can be. *looks back at post* ok i need to work on this a bit, but the thought was there. :)

True, true, and true.

I've said before that'd I'd pay for an ending with good cutscenes and some playtime. I understand that there are development costs. I don't mind paying a fair price for real content. I'm not a  communist.

But if it's $5 for a slideshow, I'm carting my opened game back to the store and getting my money back in full. It's funny how quick you can get a store to comply when you remind them they sold you an incomplete product and that you have the BBB on speed-dial.

I personally am ok with paying for it.
If the DLC is epic good, and if that's what it takes to get it, then so be it.

Heck, I am willing to pay full-game price for it if it's worth it. That's how much I love the Mass Effect series and how much I despise the current ending.

What annoying guy... vocal minority... *facepalm*... "great ending" so you understood NOTHING from the whole story of the Mass Effect trilogy, BRAVO clap yourself... I hate payed journalists... I lost all my faith in IGN, but clearly what can we expect after BioWare granted a role to the licking master Chobot? No, I don't want to know how she got her role...

Let's discuss.

P.S. IGN is being super biased on this topic, and I've lost all respect for their website.

If you want you can download Add block off of Google if you really hate IGN as much as some people do.:police:

If the topic is to old for you to handle, then there is no need for you to post right?

How would this be a revelation? Regardless of whether this ending DLC was planned or not, Bioware needs to be paid for their work. If you don't want to pay them, then don't buy it. Exercise your power as a consumer however you wish.

That's fair, I read a second opinion article last night on IGN where there was quiet a few employees that were very displeased with the ending. And Moriarty seems more like a troll to me than someone that can be taken even the slightest bit serious.

Old vid, but I'm completely comfortable paying for a new ending, if it's anything close to LotSB quality.

To be honest I would pay for a new ending, and it would feel dirty, like paying for an escort. Yet, I love Bioware, and I love the type of games they bring to table, and I will continue to buy their games. I simply don't like Colin Moriarty not even as a fellow human being.

IGN has really alienated the community with there blatantly biased vied points. I would only pay for an ending fix if it was on par with Broken Steel in terms of extra content. Not for an extra dialogue option or clarification.

when he speaks of that its a minority that want the ending to change i have to disagree. He should stop speculating!

And i understand his concern but however i belive that all this fans that has been following this series to the end wern´t not given the conclusion they deserved.

the ending was not only bad in my eyes, it was also PAINFULL, it actually in hurt my soul.
Every time and devotion i had placed on this game was utterly destroyed.

if the ending is bad than so be it.

But if it actually make someone feel bad on the inside then you must make you voice to be heard, because come to think of it, i don´t think i can be able to play The ME series again when i know it is that the way it shall end.

THAT is why i hope that they will create a new ending and not simply add some explination

Who knows at this point, although I'm kind of expecting to have to pay for it.

Honestly, I'm okay with that if it's high quality and allows me to enjoy ME3 without the goddamn StarChild.

This is the type of mentality that drives me absolutely mental. I understand that people love the Mass Effect series and I am one of you but we SHOULD NOT have to pay extra to get a proper ending. If they charge extra for this fix I will be extremely pissed because it is a slap in the face. It would be like if we got to the final mission in the game and a message pops up saying "in order to unlock the final mission of the game you need to buy the DLC for an extra $15". Games should be completed when they go retail they shouldn't have holes that are to be patched up later at a price.

For the love of god don't fall into this mentality.

If the ending was more than just "Closure and Clarification" I would buy it. Happily.

If not, I will be watching it on youtube.

And, let me be very clear, I would only even consider buying an ending for Mass Effect 3 because it is my favourite game of my favourite series; No other game nor franchise could ever hope to get money from me for an ending.

Back in the day when I wanted to use cheat codes on Road Rash 64. Or when they gave GTA IV a 10/10 yeah.
But now they seem to just run with the mainstream crowd and they sold out.

^ This.

Bear in mind, IGN is also the one who said the protests have died down because gamers have "won". As far as I can tell, I really don't think gamers felt like they've "won".

I second that. And I hate how their argument is: "Oh bioware fixed their terrible ending so you should fix yours"
This is the same mentality that says if you allow gay marrige people will start to marry animals. And is is a bad thing for gamers to want games with decent ending's? Like does Moriarty want games to have bad endings'?

and thats exactly what they want you to do - and screw the rest who paid for a game that should have had an end but didnt...

Seriously they announce they will charge for a decent ending and their games are the next days coffee coasters.
