I have to say, I loved them both 100% more than I did in either of the games (especially Wrex and Shep's dialogue on Tuchanka, that was Comedy Gold)... but the biggest turnaround for me was Grunt... I couldn't stand him in ME2 (mainly because I play mega-paragon) but when I thought he was going to die for Shep, I started bawling.
I think it was amazing how much differently I felt about Grunt after this game.

I would have to say Wrex but Grunt isn't far behind. I would love to have both in a group and have them both run into battle shouting "WE ARE KROGAN!!"

Grunt, hands down. That's not to say I don't like Wrex, but I just felt so much more connected to Grunt. You were there when he was (sort of) born! He's Shepard's big krogan foster kid.

My answer is ultimately: Neither.
The sole reason I cured the genophage was Eve. I was ready to doom them all, but she came out amidst infighting that damned the Krogan with her ground-shaking speech:
"Enough.
You can stay here and let old wounds fester as Krogan always have done,
or you can fight the enemy you were born to destroy...
And win a new future for our children.
I choose to fight, who will join me."
Damn Epic.
At that moment, I saw the Krogan were worth saving.
So my answer?
