I'll be honest, I feel sorry for Casey. If it's true that he shut himself away and wrote the ending on his own, without the feedback of the rest of the team, because he thought it was THAT GOOD, and to find out very few people actualy agree? That would kill me.

But hopefully all of this will blow aver, and he and the rest of the team will take our collective feedback to deliver us something we deserve at the end of such a brilliant Trilogy. Of course, they could just ignore us and roll with the nonsense, 3 coloured plot hole riddled endings they have now..... I just hope they wont.

I just hope the audience isn't a bunch of jerks to them.

I mean, I hope they get asked hard questions and whatnot, but I hope it stays civil.

This.

Acting like an A-Hole solves nothing, it just turns more people against your cause.

Hopefully, there are a LOT of people at PAX that criticize the ending in a POLITE, CONCISE, YET FIRM WAY.

I guess for them, this years' Pax will be "Lots of speculation for everyone!"

If I was more of a gambler than I actually am, I'd be willing to lay down bets that Bioware will immediately tell everyone that comments or questions about the ending(s) will not be addressed.

OR...if they actually do talk about them, they'll limit the discussion to a specific segment of their hour, and you can guarantee it won't be a big one, because they're not going to want to spend the entire hour talking about the ending.

The former would cause a publicity nightmare for Bioware, so let's hope they're not stupid enough to do that, but the latter seems quite likely.

Yea my money is on that they pre-screen all questions to prevent this from becoming an ending only question session.

Which will mobilize even more people. They can't just ignore people.

At the end of the day, they're still the ones who get paid to create video games.

Fix the endings and I will love you again.

Or just tell us the IT is real. Whatever. I'm not picky at this point.

If they ignore people at Pax what kind of message will that send?

Being cryptic is causing way too much pressure to build up.

they'll only answer the questions they have prepared statements for, or ones that they feel won't go anywhere harmful, a la 'sporting event' press conference. they'll ignore stuff they don't want to answer. the only difference is, a sports team usually has the chance to fix their mistakes in the upcoming week, not months or years down the road. it'll be entertaining to see how they handle this - the ball is in their court (until the fans steal it back, that is).

If they don't announce something soon everything is going to go to hell. I'm surprised any legitimate information hasn't been leaked, seeing as it would calm people down.

Which is why we all go in there with question like "are you guys going to release a love interest DLC?", and then conveniently "forget" them when it comes time to ask and have to fall back to the more boring, backup questions like "why did you lie to the players?" and "how are you going to fix the ending?".

I don't hate Bioware, how could I when they have given me so much greatness over the years. But I am very disappointed in either the developers or EA, at least the people responsible for the ending, and how could I not be when I am lied to during marketing for the game.

Mass Effect 3 was great... until the last 10 minutes.
EAWare deserves any backlash they get from this boondoggle of an ending.

Once again some people posting in this post, in this community really do put not only this community, not only the gaming community in general, but humanity as a whole in disgrace.

People stating there will be blood and they deserve all they get... *shakes head in disbelief* have any of you thought about what you are saying, do you not see how disgusting such comments are?

Do humanity a favour, go seek medical/psychological help those that are spouting such crap. The scary thing is, I can just imagine some of you attempting to do these things you claim should happen. Thankfully I have faith that there would possibly be someone at the conference that would stop such whiny little brats from doing such things and then said person not only would be escorted out of the conference but handed over to the authorities so they can be sentenced to what ever degree is required of such acts.

Good post OP, shame you seem to have attracted the lower level scum of the community to this topic. I totally agree with what you said.

If this was all planned and the true ending is coming, they should make an announcement or release a trailer before PAX to calm everyone down.

I don't feel bad because they brought this on themselves. I'll only feel bad if the audience resorts to attacking their individual character. I'm hoping that the audience turns out to be respectful, yet at the same time unrelenting when it comes to criticism about the ending and by I mean I hope that they don't take "no" or "you'll have to wait and see" for an answer.

Its not.

And if it was planned, well, they probably won't release it.  I think even professional reviewers would take a swing at them for not having the ACTUAL ending for the game IN THE GAME.

That said, they had better add more choices for us when we see Casper.

I don't think they'll ignore the issue; it's too big and too high-profile an issue to dismiss or ignore.  But they're also not going to want their panel to turn into an hour-long ranting session about the ending, and since they paid for the time and space, they've got the right to control how much of their panel gets devoted to that topic AND what exactly will get said about it.

Don't take people too seriously. They say this because they are anonymous on Internet. Anf if you believe humans can be all noble and always with respect... you're an idiot (or naive if you prefer). Sorry if I sound rude, but it is true. Humans are creatures that aren't noble. So accept the ugly truth : people hate the ending and they will act like their feelings tell them to.

You don't like what I just said? That's nihilism for you.

[Don't worry, I was an idiot for many years. And sometimes, I still am,. :P]

They've gotten rich off of us. The least they can do is face our criticism.
