The Mrs plays games more often than I do, give it another handful of years and it'll be an equal scale if game designers keep appealing to women as well as men more often.
Anyhow, 22 year old male Australian now living in a fridge. My voice/accent > Alistair's.

DA:O was one of my 29th birthday presents to myself. And I used to play games on a Tandy CoCo when I was 3. Beat THAT.
Eventually I'll get my parents dragged in. Eventually. (They introduced me to gaming, y'know. Every other Thursday night we get together for a D&D v1-based homebrew system. Mom was in a D&D session when she went into labor with me (they made me pose for a picture in the room for their 25th
). They met in the tOSU computer lab. Dad used to write "Brennan + Chana '78" (their regular characters) on chalkboards. I was doomed from the start. DOOMED.)
As for gender... well, I'm one of those RL trannie freaks, so I usually just say "female" and be done with it. My parents joke that they have kids from all three genders.

Ok, here goes...
Female and 36. But, I like to think of myself as "old enough to know better and young enough not to care."

Funny, I know gaming is stereotypically male dominated, but I haven't met many guys besides my brother who actually like gaming and don't find it "childish".

27, female. I'm a one-of-a-kind in my circle of acquaintances for being a very gamer girl (heck my whole pad is just full of video game byproducts). I live with a video game designer so I guess we fit together, although he doesn't play anything.

29, female. First really big RPG game that's ever held my interest, love the narrative sensibilities and non-bimbo MC possibilities.

30 female. I started out playing text-based and Dig Dug-esque games before graduating to the Sierra rpgs: King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest, Space Quest etc. I used to have to juggle which Sierra games were installed because we had a 10mb hard drive and those games usually ran upwards of a monster-sized 3mb... LOL
