Actually, for most game forums, this would probably be a pretty low ratio of males.  I was surprised (and pleased) to see so many females posting here because it suggests the game has a wider appeal than the stereotypical male gaming audience.

Same, I thought most of the female fans would be over on deviantART and fanfiction.net. >.>

I love the fact there are so many older gamers on here, my WoWdays have show me the guilds/forums with older players in are usually so much more stable and fun.

I totally agree regarding WoW guilds.  The more mature guilds tended to be populated by players older than 30 and they tended to be more understanding when real life overrode gaming life.

I've noticed the older players here also have a deeper appreciation for the vast storylines and convoluted plots within DA:O.  Maybe we remember Baldur's Gate, or perhaps we remember text-based games (like Zork or Starcrossed), but I notice less complaints about the "visual quality" from the older ones.  That makes me !

Yes... I categorically refuse to grow up! And about Leliana's French accent... *thumbs down* I'm originally French Canadian and I agree fully... Im 23/Male.. and i remember in my wow days id rather be in a guild with older folk than kids.. thats why im more partial to pc games cuz console games seem to have a younger community and it drives me nuts.

I'm pleasently surprised by the age range displayed here, and how many female gamers there are! Around where I live, I tend to be treated as something of an oddity. Oh well, I intend to be gaming for a very long time =)
