Cause everyone got a quick death, instead of dying from starvation.

The purple one was my favorite! Especially at the end when Blasto saved Shepard from the Spacekid!
That would have been a better ending then whats in there now. At the last minute Blasto saves the day.

Each one was put in by a different cycle along the many years the crucible was designed! These are all the ones I discovered, but there could be more.
.
.
.
3,407
Cycles ago, the Gorple-Drainers tossed in the ablity to tickle the
Reapers so they'd laugh and tell the Galaxy to "sssstop it! Guys!".
>Mauve Explosion<
3,
012 Cycles ago, the Faruzian Balk-Xia put in a Reaper "lip engorger"
that just made it impossible for the Reapers to do anything but pout,
preventing them from being taken seriously.
>Salmon Pink Explosion<
2,996
Cycles ago, the E' cho' lac' tacka' Ni added plans that made the
Reapers think they were in a large airport terminal, but their suitcase
wasn't dropping down with everyone else's luggage, but they just keep
waiting and watching the chute, hoping it's next, but it seems to never
show up and- is that it? Oh no, it's someone else's, but they have a
similar suitcase. Damnit!
>Silver Explosion<
2,752
Cycles ago, the Ateb Hht Nioj, made The Reapers link together their com
networks into a highly addictive MMO that they would rather play than
harvest organics.
>Panderan Explosion<
2,005 Cycles
ago,the XXXXXXxxxxxxxxxxxnnnnnzaarc tossed in a sweeeet spoiler to the
very end of the Crucible. It's really hard to notice in cinematics since
it was sized for a 1987 Honda Civic, but its totally there.
>Civic Explosion<
1,743
Cycles ago, The Bob O'Hearnies tossed in a Breathalyzer to the Crucible
control menu. They didn't want to, but the court made them do it as
part of their community service.
>Beer Breath Explosion<
1,555
Cycles ago, The Trigull-Warriors-from-Beyond-the-Veil-Which-sings put
in a hidden function that just plays their favorite song for the
Reapers"Lalalalalalalalalalalalala I Love Loving Love Lalalalalalalala"
in the hopes that even if they end up wiped out, it will get annoyingly
stuck in the Reaper's heads.
>Casey Casem Countdown Explosion<
1,390
Cycles ago, The Time travelers from 5,342 Cyles ago arrived and put in a
subroutine that would launch them ahead another three cycles in the
hopes that maybe things got better, maybe?
1,387 Cycles ago, The
Time Travelers from 5,342 Cycles ago showed up again, realized that this
only worked if someone fro even further in the future turned on the
Crucible to activate the subroutine, that it couldn't be them as they
totally would have told themselves and disappeared in a chronological
paradox.
>Time Implosion<
1,000 Cycles ago, The Great Automated Cyborg Turkeys of Christmas 9 decided to put in an air frehner
to sweeten the deal, as they tried to sel the Crucible to The Reapers
instead of building it. The Reapers though they were as delicious as
they were stupid.
>Mmmm I want some Turkey Explosion<
757
Cycles ago, The Poetic Zluurrr'Grub wrote an intricate pattern into the
Crucible Blueprints themselves. Every line of every structure in the
plans is actually composed of their entire history of poetics, but at a
sub-microscopic scale. It still sucks though.
>How now Brown Cow? Explosion, man. *snaps fingers*<
349
Cycles ago, the "Sons of the H.U.D." Made it so that the Catalyst would
promise at least 4,000 variations on what the Crucible would do, when
in reality it didn't alter the three options that existed there from
better, more honest cycles.
>Aw damn he done be told! Explosion<
254 Cycles ago, The Star Wars universe.
>Force Lightning Explosion<
53
Cycles ago, The Elegant Xalret create a fourth option, to the standard
three, that transmits a logical statement so irrefutable that it will
convince The Reapers to leave organics alone forever, and of their own
accord. Unfortunately, they forget to label it properly, and so it end
up built into the side of a thruster engine.
>Ironic Explosion<
1 Cycle Ago, The Prothean add in some fuzzy dice.
Fuzzy Dice are cool.

I like the one where Shepard turns to the starchild and says "As you can see your friends have failed. Now witness the firepower of this fully ARMED and OPERATIONAL armada! Fire at will, Admiral!"
This. Just perfect. That's how it will end in my head from now on.

The final line to his monologue was really evocative of Babylon 5 and reinforced the throughout the trilogy “It’s over because we say it’s over. Now get the hell out of our galaxy! We’ll find our own way!”
What followed was a truly awe-inspiring battle on Earth and space. I really saw the results of my decisions in action:
The salarian STG team coming to the aid of the asari commandos, with Kirahee exhorting them to “hold the line” brought a smile to my face
The geth fighters coming to the aid of the Destiny Ascension was a great reversal from the first game.
I liked seeing Jack's students protecting the Alliance artillery team, shielding them from the cannibals' gunfire as the Alliance rockets tore through them. I wonder what it would have looked like with the biotic artillery team? Alliance troops covering the students?
Grunt and Wrex fighting back to back, who could ask for more?
The scene with the Geth Primes and quarian marines fighting side by side was truly rewarding.
Also liked the scene where Jacob and Miranda encountered each other on the battlefield. That single nod of recognition and respect was brief but said all it needed to.
And who could forget Shepard’s squadmates forming a battle line at the beam, holding all those husks back, with Joker and the Normandy leading a squadron of frigates and gunships to provide air support?
The last minute “cavalry to the rescue” as the rachni ships appeared, wow! Much like the eagles appearing during the Battle of Five Armies, it really looked like it turned the tide. And that single transmission where the queen said she was “joining her voice with ours” Just like the courier said in ME2. Words cannot express…
Hackett’s voiceover was kinda sobering though, talking about the horrific losses sustained, how it may be decades or even centuries before the galactic community recovered from the war. The wrecked ships and piles of corpses really showed how close the fight was.
On that note my heart was in my throat as the search teams scoured the Citadel, with Hackett's voice over their radios instructing them to "find Shepard" Once they did, man were my palms sweating as they turned him over check for a pulse, and...
"He's dead sir, we're too late"
"He's still alive! Get a medic!"
So nice to get the scene where he wakes up in the hospital with the LI at his side. I mean, it was really sad to see how much was sacrificed and how messed up Earth was, but now rebuilding can begin. And Shepard will be there to help. Well, once he’s out of the hospital…
Wonder what the hero's funeral would have been like, if I'd made different choices?
Oh wait, did I imagine all that? Huh. How did it really end?
