If you can't tell that the Reaper at the end sequence is Harbinger, then you haven't read up on the differences between him and normal Sovereign-class Reaper's. Notice the eyes (like on the Collectors when they get controlled by him) and the 4 "legs" compared to the standard 5.

I feel that he is the "leader" of the Reapers in the fact that he is a central figure. But either way, I agree that he didn't get enough screen time and that given the fact that he had such a large role in ME2, to cut him out like this, and without ANY dialogue, it's such a disservice to us as fans. I personally really enjoyed his role in ME2 and was glad to see a deep story with a Reaper as the focus (as in ME1). But what they did in ME3 with him was bad.

Hey Bioware! In the off chance you're reading this, please bring Harbinger back as a speaking and/or central role in future DLC. Good old Harby was sorely missed.

Ummm, so the only thing to give him away, that being his dialogue, was cut? Because yeah... I have no clue where he is at the end either.

It IS Harbinger at the end. IIRC, his shape is a little different from most Reapers, and he had some dialogue that got cut from the final game.

he had dialogue that was cut???

Harbinger deserves a better ending indeed. Otherwise OP is sadly correct.

I don't know why the hell they scrapped this character out of the game... I mean, he was extremely important in Mass Effect 2, he was even more important than Sovereign since he was the one in charge of the Collectors, and pretty much the ''Reaper Prime''...

I would've adored a final fight agains't him, where he just assume direct control of TIM or Anderson's body and we fight in the citadel, then I go upstairs where this random god child is supposed to be (in my version he would not exist), and kind of Jump on him and infiltrate ''him'', destroying him from the Inside (Saren was Using Sovereign as a Ship, it could've been the same for Harbinger).

Harbinger existed because Starchild allowed it, and Harbinger ended because Starchild demanded it.

It was just a darned waste of potential that ol' Harby was not given more exposition. He was one of my fav villians. Plus, the lead up in ME2 and the DLC Arrival made it seem like he would haunt us again as a major player. Instead he was reduced to a bit part. Too sad. :(

No way that was Harbinger. It must've been a cheap knock-off imitation of him. The REAL Harbinger would have taunted us a bazillion times about how "This hurts you" or "You will know pain, Shepard" while "Assuming Direct Control" over every Huskified enemy in the area.

You know, somebody should start a "Remember Harbinger" campaign or group. That would be great.

tbh i feel like harbinger was the prothean cycle reaper because hes the only reaper with 4 eyes... and protheans have 4 eyes... and he basically controls the collectors which were protheans....

other wise what does the human reaper come into all this of a sudden? eh idk that's what i think anyway.

Most definitely. I just do not understand why his role in ME3 was reduced to a bit part. Awful.

I really wished joker would have put a thanix cannon to harbinger. (not like the Normandy fought anything). And a confrontation with Harbinger would've been great. I would have settled with a "this hurts you" moment when he fried my armor

I think EDI suggests in ME2 that there was no prothean reaper because they were incompatible with ther process.  Struggled to find my source.
