It seems to have died down. Did bioware say they would talk about it at PAX?

What happened?

People seem to think that we have won based off of Biowares statements. I don't think that's true myself, but hey, that could just be me!

Yea. Have to wait for conformation.

They said they will have an announcement in April, they hinted that they will give something that gives more clarification/closure. It will likely fall very short of anything satisfactory. Then, either people will be too tired and dissatisfied to continue or grab some popcorn for the lynching >_<

We're still fighting.
But we'll see what they say. If they try to fob us off with some condescending explanation about their existing endings, we won't stand for it.

Did you miss almost every thread on this forum? A lot of people are still "holding the line", though there is a separation I think. Some want the ending to be fleshed out a bit, giving clarification to things like the normandy...and those who want the ending changed completely. I think most are on the second option.

There was a blog post by the co-founder of BioWare stating that there is new content in the making that will "clarify" the endings, and that it will be discussed more in April. People are still just as confused, but now that we know for sure we won't have any info for a couple more weeks, the vocalization has died down a bit.

We're still here, though.

Of course you won't. Because nothing they give you will live up to your ridiculous standards.

As for the OP. They're going to clarify the endings, not change anything.

People think they either 'won' (heh).

Or they have decided its too late, and have sworn off Bioware.

Not sure where I currently stand.

So me wanting what I was promised is a ridiculous standard?
Wanting an ending that makes sense and isn't riddled with plot holes is a ridiculous standard?

Please. You have no idea what you're talking about, you simply want to pretend we're the unpleasable masses so that you won't have to acknowledge we have a point.
There is no possible explanation that can save these worthless, asinine endings. They are an affront to everything Mass Effect. So no, I will never accept anything short of new endings.

shrieking ceaselessly is not going to make anything happen any faster, and those who understand that are thus waiting silently. bioware has stated that announcements have will be forthcoming at PAX, although no one except bioware knows what said announcements will contain, exactly. after PAX, we'll see what happens.

Which you aren't getting. So I guess you'll just have to continue being angry.

We're still here, and we're still not giving in. That said, I'm trying to wait until April for a formal announcement on what's going to happen.

Still trying to keep up the pressure though. I'm mailing another letter to them tomorrow, I know they won't read, but it makes me feel productive.

We've become somewhat quieter until April. That's when when Bioware claims they're going to offer us Closure and Clarification.

If they mess that up too the BSN is going to become a river of flame...

A few days passed, ADHD kicked in and the great unwashed masses put down their torches and pitchforks and went back to their thatched roof cottages.

I've more or less written off Bioware as a loss. Embargo on. No more money for them. They want to call our bluff. It's up to the community to make good on the threats we laid down.

Is that so? Well then Bioware isn't getting anymore of my money, and I know i'm not the only one thinking that way. They can ignore us but we can ignore them.

Waiting for the announcement in April, I doubt they'll change the ending but they might at least have something up their sleeves to make it bearable which is something at least.

To be honest I'm going through my second playthrough with a Shep that's pretty much polar opposite and it's not just the ending that's lacking...there's so many cop-outs it's not even funny.

I think you've gotten the whole thing wrong.  There's a big difference between what I want, and what I would have settled for.  Sure, I want Christina Hendricks to appear right next to me and say "Me, you, Kat Dennings, now".  But hell, there's a wide range of things I settle for instead of that and still be super happy.  Right now, as most of the ReTake folks see it, the ending we were presented is as nothing appears, you have super callous hands and no moisturizer, if you get my drift.  Thats the option presented to us, and it wont stand

I can't see the point why they would release dlc to "clarify" the ending. it's like walking in on your wife doing some other guy, then she walks up to you and says; it's not what it looks like, let me explain.

We all know very well what the freck happened. No clarifications needed. The ending was sheit.

But, nonetheless the ending was important, it can atleast illuminate other storytellers on how not to cook up an ending.

Think that if you like.  I don't pretend to know what Bioware will do.  I only know what my actions will be in response.
