But we'll see what they say. If they try to fob us off with some condescending explanation about their existing endings, we won't stand for it.

Well said.

Only so much you can do and now it is time to wait and see.

Speaking only for myself, I am waiting to see what Bioware does in terms of free DLC. My expectations are very low at this point, so maybe they'll surprise me.

In the longer term, I think we've seen all the response we're ever going to get in terms of public statements from Bioware. No admission of a mistake. No discussion of earlier promises. No apology for misleading customers and delivering a rather weak game with a worse ending. And that, IMO, answers the question I wanted to see answered out of all this: Is Bioware going to use this to turn the ship around, or are they going to sail off the proverbial cliff?

I think most have either:

A: Got sick of the lack of response from Bioware, besides the usual PR statements, and moved on. Or:

B. Are waiting to see what April brings before unleashing the Sh*tstorm of the Century.

Either way, BSN is in for some interesting times down the road.

I think people should just accept these endings for what they are. They failed, simple as that.

Overall Mass Effect is the best series out there even though they messed up a bit, in my opinion.

Of course you won't. Because nothing they give you will live up to your ridiculous standards.

As for the OP. They're going to clarify the endings, not change anything.

Care to explain what's so ridiculous about his/her standards?

It was stated we would get further information in April.
A first step towards costumer-relations.
No victory so far, but a step.
Most people are very reasonable, so we'll see how PAX turns out.

Until then, this is somehow like the calm time in the eye of the storm.

Yeah - I'd say it's mostly people waiting until April's announcement. But if Bioware screw it up... I expect it will see an even bigger furore.

Eye of the storm - we're waiting for them to make their promised announcement, but if whatever that is isn't acceptable to us, expect the fight to flare up again worse than it was before even.

I'm waiting for their move. There's only so many times you can point out a flaw before you wait for a response.

But if the response is poor, I think this forum will be exploding again.

People have worked their way through the five stages of grief and are accepting that this is all their going to get from BiowarEA.

It's interesting how often people with this specific account avatar take a contrarian position or post rude, ad hominem comments. I've seen it over and over on this forum. Looking at the picture, I guess it isn't the sort of thing that would appeal to reasonable, well-adusted people. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it?

I really do hope they understand that if they thought the reaction was bad before, it'll be even worse later if they try to just brush it off with some sort of "the endings are awesome because you don't get it" thing.  It's not like our expectations are unknowable at this point.

For me, it's a waiting game.

In the words of so many action heroes over the course of TV, film and game history...

"Your move, BioWare".

I'm checking the forums every week or so.

I also am sure as hell not buying another Bioware game at midnight release though.
