Priestly disavowed those rumors already, I wouldn't read too much into it.

As for Holding the Line, still here but mostly people are done fuming over the endings and are onto new topics. We occasionally see newcomers who dislike the ending as well or who like the ending. I think the french decided to weigh in their opinions.

Also, with the anticipation for the April announcement, I wouldn't be surprised if some RTM members went back in for another playthrough. Just in case.

Oh... if a BIOWARE/EA goon said so, I guess all organic life must either believe him or be forced into merge with synthetics.

BIOWARE is the premier expert on how to wreck a franchise.

And if this proves to be true then THE ENDING IS NOT THE WORST PART YET:

May The Catalyst have mercy on our souls!

You could say we agreed to an armistice until the April announcement. When our diplomats return and shake their heads, we will restart the artillery fire!

What happened is people realized that the ending was infact Shepard's indoctrination. They realized the ingenious twist that is the indoctrination theory. Making them come to the conclusion that the ending was infact an amazing piece of storytelling..

They also busted up a lot of the "HQ" threads where Retake folk, and those displeased with the ending in general would gather. It was bound to happen, no conspiracy or anything, those topics were constantly going off topic and there was no shortage of arguments, but it also doesn't hurt that Bioware squashed the little insurgency taking place on their own forums.

All quiet on the western front, sir.

Doesn't mean we're not standing watch.

But we'll see what they say. If they try to fob us off with some condescending explanation about their existing endings, we won't stand for it.

I hope there will be enough people for it, but I'm quite tired of Bioware's non-reaction anyway. They were clearly caught off guard about the endings, and it suggests to me that they honestly thought that what they provided was good enough, and it seems to be for other people. Many of whom seem to be of the same type, condescending because we don't seem to "get it".

I think it's still going strong and I still see a lot of people posting about it. The worst of the anger seems to have faded somewhat, which isn't a bad thing in my opinion, but I think people are currently looking towards April and BioWare's announcement.

Hold the line!

I can't see the point why they would release dlc to "clarify" the ending. it's like walking in on your wife doing some other guy, then she walks up to you and says; it's not what it looks like, let me explain.

We all know very well what the freck happened. No clarifications needed. The ending was sheit.

But, nonetheless the ending was important, it can atleast illuminate other storytellers on how not to cook up an ending.

This.

shrieking ceaselessly is not going to make anything happen any faster, and those who understand that are thus waiting silently. bioware has stated that announcements have will be forthcoming at PAX, although no one except bioware knows what said announcements will contain, exactly. after PAX, we'll see what happens.

Pretty much.  I've got low expectations.

Because most of them have reached the final stage, and have accepted the fact that even if they do release DLC that will fix the end or give us closure, this will always and forever be the way ME3 ended originally and what is canon to the story of Mass Effect.

It's going to cost money, don't kid yourselves.

I just want a final boss fight, ME3 had no memorable boss fights except with that cerberus ninja guy and that wasnt anything to great. What happened to levels like the blue suns base where you get the warlord in ME2 or the great battle sequence against saren from ME1. It doesnt have to be a 1 on 1 battle but something with purpose.

Yeah, I agree.
At this point the pooch has been screwed and the punch bowl officially turded.
Even with DLC I'm not sure Bioware could repair all the damage done,
and no way would EA release anything for free. Even if they say it's free, there will
be some kind of cash-shop catch that keeps the money train moving.

Of course you won't. Because nothing they give you will live up to your ridiculous standards.

So me wanting what I was promised is a ridiculous standard?
Wanting an ending that makes sense and isn't riddled with plot holes is a ridiculous standard?

Please. You have no idea what you're talking about, you simply want to pretend we're the unpleasable masses so that you won't have to acknowledge we have a point.
There is no possible explanation that can save these worthless, asinine endings. They are an affront to everything Mass Effect. So no, I will never accept anything short of new endings.

Well said Angry! I always like your posts!

Doesn't anyone want to buy the explanation to the ending? They play on selling us an explanation to why the ending was crap. Isn't that great? Becuase we couldn't figure out that the ending was completely worthless on our own.

We're mostly still here, some have gone back into lurker mode while waiting for april (pitchforks and torches within reach). I am trying to be calm and patient until we know what their plan is (april can't come soon enough) but if they try and just put in an explanation of the ending and nothing else there will be war.

I´m still here but i am giving up hope more and more (this is/was the big theme of Mass Effect)

I am waiting for the 11th April (male/fem Shep` Birthday) - call me sentimental but this is the "deadline" for me
