It's obvious OP that there was a "tone" to your opening post, but I do appreciate the honesty.

However, I don't beat around the bush. I tend to be blunt. So, I'll just come out and say it.

To the point:

It's really none of nobody's business why I'm here, except the Admins and Mods, unless I choose to share my reasons. Nor is it the place of any forum member to question why anybody joins/remains part of this community.

No offense intended, OP. I hope I answered your question in a satisfactory manner.

I read that entire post in Jacob's voice...

Anyway, that does in a horribly vague way lmao.
I stay here for my friends. I wouldn't die if I couldn't talk about Mass Effect every single day. I would be severely depressed if I was cut off from some of the people on here I care about though.

Then again, I don't hate the endings. So my opinion doesn't mean anything.

As the title says, "Why are you still here?"

Many of you have come to the conclusion that because of the ending of Mass Effect 3, you will never purchase another product from Bioware. So is there a legit reason for spamming the forums with your comlaining? Why don't you just leave? It's very clear to me that you're done with Bioware, so why stay on their site? You're torturing yourself, and you're cluttering the forums with things we've heard from hundreds of others already. Yeah, we get it. You hated the ending. Many people did. You're just saying what's already been said. Nobody is going to look at you as a prophet because you pointed out some plot holes. Simply because, as I said, it's already been said.

I mean no disrespect towards anyone here of course. I'll admit that my post has a certain... Tone, to it. But that's simple annoyance by the lack of diverse topics going on in these forums lately.

So please just explain, what is your reason for staying on BSN? Keep it friendly guys.

Yeah I'm all about giving them a chance to make it right, and the more who stay, the better we'll be heard.  If I didn't care and love the franchise I wouldn't be here.

The slim chance that BioWare didn't actually kill one of the best franchises of this generation and since they know the ending was rushed will make up for it with DLC

Again, if they try to make people pay for an ending that should have been included, was promised on the box, was promised by developers, was talked up, etcetcetc. I already bought the game that should have the ending. I even got the Prothean addition. They'd better deliver what they've promised, 200 bucks deep in a game series and I'm going to feed their greedy little hands if they try to squeeze money out for something they did terribly the first time around.

My faith that this won't happen is already waning, what confidence I had in them went out the window as the ending quickly shattered my immersion.

Because although people might not buy any more products, that doesn't negate the fact that there are previous games existing that they still play and enjoy. ME1, ME2, KOTOR, etc.

These forums specifically, are for Mass Effect 3.

I'm still here because I have been a BioWare fangirl for 12 years. I love 99% of the Mass Effect series. I'm here because I still believe that BioWare is better than this and am willing to give them a chance to fix it.

1. To be here when new members arrive who are disatisfied so that I can tell them they are not alone , there are a lot of us , and show them to relevant site and data that supports them .

2. To make it clear to Bioware that we still exist . They already know a lot of people have fallen silent simply out of tossing BioWare out of their pocketbooks , but I want to encourage them that there are still us fans who will purchase their games IF they fix it .

3. await news on a fix .

4. Respond to news .

5. Add my encouragement to threads that support changing the ending .

Two reasons:

1) I hold out some hope that they can and will change the endings enough to make them bearable so I can play the game again.

2) I'm generally a fan of Bioware and will, in all probability, buy more of their products - someday. In the interests of my future enjoyment, however, I want to make this situation unpleasant enough for them that they think twice before pulling this kind of crap again on a subsequent title.

They are trying to force bioware into changing the ending. Kind of annoying when threads that don't have anything to do with the endings get hijacked. I wish this ending business would get resolved one way or the other so we can have threads discussing the game for people that still play the game. Some of these people that have sworn they are done with bioware (if you believe those people) are cluttering up the forum at this point. Screwing it up for those of us that still love and play the game and series.

People here arn't leaving for the same reason that civil protests occur, over the same issue, multiple times: we feel passionately about something, and we wish to both express it and remind the targets of our protests that we have not had a change of heart. Our goal is a new ending and giving up and shutting up provide no incentive for that.

This isn't about "we hate you, we're done". People with that opinion do exist, but it is only logical to presume, (based on feedback), that most of the people here actually care for and respect what Bioware has created at large and feel that the ending to ME3 is purely below the standards of an otherwise reputable company. If we were to simply give up, we would be making a profound strategic error- we don't want 15 minutes of fame, we don't want to cause a ruckus, we want an ending which is worthy of the rest of the content presented.

Companies don't respond to groups that are dead to them, but active and attentive. We're on the fence, come pull us off.

Hanging around to see what BioWare does about endings; once April rolls around and they address it, I imagine the forums will start to die down at least a little.

Then talk about them without turning it into an ending discussion.  I am not talking about you specificaly but I often see threads that have nothing to do with the ending getting hijacked by ending talk.

And yet here you are responding to a thread specifically about the ending. Wouldn't your time be better spent looking at topics of more interest to you?

Hanging around to see how Bioware responds to this. I have loved Bioware for years and appreciate the work they have done, but they have lost me a bit after DA2 and the ending of ME3 (personally I loved the rest of the game though it was tad short). So I am here because I appreciate the work they have done, love their IP and I am hoping for a positive response that makes me fall in love again!

I didn't like the endings, but I still enjoy the parts of the game/games I DID enjoy. As well as all the other aspects of the game not ending associated (i.e. how well the game did on sales, the sound effect immersion, and various parody threads).

I have to say the only thing I've seen rival the bitterness of anti-ending people are people like you who are bitter about the anti-ending people. Try not to take too much offense in that, because I approve. You are right to feel that way. As you said, you really like the game and having thread after thread of someone bashing on it would be like if you had a friend who had thread after thread posted bashing him. And I'm sorry that's the reality.

I figure it's because they paid their money for the game, registered it and have to right to let Bioware know their dissatisfaction with the product they were sold.

I honestly never understand these threads, it always comes off as if you don't have something good to say about the game you should leave because all feedback must be positive because I liked the game.

The endings might not be what I wanted, but the rest of the game is awesome. I know that the endings have ruined the rest of the game for a lot of people, but I, personally, seem to have a high tolerance for suck, and wasn't affected as badly.
